I would go:
Live performance:
1. Daft Punk
2. Chemical Brothers
3. Underworld
Body of work:
1. Chemical Brothers
2. Underworld
3. Daft Punk
Soundtrack (for the heck of it...not meant to be taken seriously*):
1. Daft Punk
2. Underworld
3. Chemical Brothers
But if you want to pick the best EDM artist ever? Chemical Brothers. They're the Beatles of EDM.
Or not. Don't force me to defend my metaphor. I can't.
*Not that the first two categories are, it's all subjective taste
Lets stay on topic here...
I love the mix of Saturate to Believe.... So good!
For me its Galvanize -> Do It Again. So awesome.
Coachella 2013:
Blur • YYYs • Modest Mouse • Lou Reed • Jurassic 5 • How to Destroy Angels • Beach House • Metric • Local Natives • Of Monsters & Men • Divine Fits • FOALS • Youth Lagoon
Phoenix • xx • Postal Service • Hot Chip • Grizzly Bear • Franz Ferdinand • Two Door Cinema Club • Yeasayer • Violent Femmes • SMD • Portugal the Man • 2 Bears
Vampire Weekend • Nick Cave • Wu-Tang Clan • Pretty Lights • Eric Prydz • Tame Impala • Lumineers • Tanlines • Thee Oh Sees • Robert DeLong
Saturate is just amazing live, a definite highlight of the set for me with the paint exploding everywhere
And I'm not even going to fuck with that list, granted just putting those 3 on there skews things.

Do It Again will always give me the creeps now. Fuck that clown, seriously...
who was I next to during "Horse Power"?? We got really excited and scooped up a ton of glow off the ground to throw when the beat drop. Was it you Travis? Maybe Kylie???

Just get yourself HIGH...
I can't contain myself, I have to do the drumroll on "Horse Power."
every.single.time.
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.

Ah-ha! It's all coming back to me now...We had a hard time leaving Sasha but knew we needed to get to the main stage and start prepping our glowsticks. You guys got a head start, so by the time we got to the main, we could already see a hint of glow and had no problem locating the group. I wanted to say hello when I spotted you, but you were busy choreographing and going over timelines for the precise moment for the eruption with Feather. I must say thank you, because the biggest part of that show for me was standing amongst all the people that otherwise only know each other on the message board, glowsticks ready, and as soon as the set started, you would have thought that section had been friends forever, dancing like a tribe of party animals and enhancing the show with the glow, as the Brothers done worked that shit out.![]()

i agree the chems body of work when it comes to releases is second to none. the range and depth of their discography almost makes daft's seem laughable quite frankly. and UW's artistic merit is probably head and shoulders over both of them. but still, all those DP tracks hold a special place in my heart.
and no matter what anyone ever does the ALIVE show will never be topped. it was a life-altering and paradigm-shifting moment for me staring at the dozens of faces flashing during human after all. i really think that concert changed me for the better as a person. as magical as underworld and the chems live are i don't think there's the same intention to go beyond the music and elevate the live experience to the spiritual and otherworldly adventure that daft created. everyone who stared into that pyramid for an hour knows what i'm talking about, and when it really comes down to it, everyone who saw it the first time around on some level never wants them to tour again. it probably cannot be recreated.
sorry for going off, i really could have just said i agree with you haha.
i would like for some people to throw out some more names into the mix though to compete with my holy trinity...

Don't want to be a downer, but that's a lot of plastic and chemicals that eventually went to a landfill :P

The Chemical Brothers Live @ Coachella 2011
still really upset about missing this... might have to make the trek to Europe this summer to make up for it.
