I was a big Chems fan from Exit Planet Dust through Come With Us. I was lukewarm with Push the Button. Everything after that just doesn't really do it for me. Maybe I'm just into the big beat/acidy/housey tunes of the earlier chems work.

I'm looking forward to their set but I'm hoping they bring it old school. Not sure I'll get my wish though.

Whether or not you are monklish, I know you are trolling

I just wanted to say how un-educational the music video for that god forsaken song is.......I'm not going to post it, but it shows fresh and saltwater fish living in the same fish tank.....am I the only one that is REALLY bothered by this?

I completely agree with you, except for Further. I think it's a great album and having the chance to see them perform a lot of that live in August was phenomenal. Further, in my opinion, translates really well live and fits right in with the old stuff. And if they are getting an hour and a half set, we should be fortunate to hear a lot of their career.

In all fairness, I haven't given Further a proper chance. I'll give it another go.

also w/ Further, they went back to their roots of making more of a complete, continuous work that seemed to stop at Come With Us.....this might be part of the reason why Further mixes well w/ the old stuff.....Example: Swoon => Star Guitar (that might be the mix of my life, and there are a number of Chems songs that I like more than those 2 individually)

I'm no doubt gonna be there for this, but I'm just curious what the difference is between their DJ and Live sets. When I saw Royksopp I was amazed, they were playing keyboard, electronic drum pads, singing, and had a bass player. I'm not that educated when it comes to mixing and stuff, just would like to know what I'm seeing.

dj set for chems is just using laptops. plus, its usually a selection of other songs they've remixed and only a few of their own songs.

this will be a full stage production with full gear rigs along with matching visuals on a screen behind them...and will only feature their own songs.

They've been opening up the encore with Snow > Surface to Air in the past month. Awkwardly excited to hear that live, I might start crying.

Also: The set list they're currently touring is pretty much the set list to end all set lists. Loaded with oldies! After touring in support of Further they've dumped a lot of the new stuff, added a brand new track, 'Superflash,' and really piled on the classics. Get excited.

From what I have read on setlist.fm (missed them at the Bowl ), this set is going to be pure bliss.

Burst is a possibility. THey mention they want to put that back into the set, just because they havn't been playing it doesn't mean they wont. They are using the burst visuals for TPPR, so I wouldn't expect both of those songs, but do expect one of them. TPPR is obviously the better choice.....

Teheheh. Salmon Dance we won't get and I might be the only one, but I like that song. Bummed that Another World hasn't been making it onto the new set-lists. I love that song.

Yeah but I should be reasonable and be happy that this set will be different then the two from the tour I attended.

Why not Another World? played it at the Bowl, and the sound system there made me full body orgasm. I think the acid helped as well as the visuals, mostly the music, this song REALLY came to life on massive and loud speakers.

Yeah, they played it at the show I went to as well. Sounded great at the Fox. I just say "maybe" because they haven't been playing it lately.
