I would love to hear any of Dig Your Own Hole.
I guess the excitement has died down over this.
Is it safe to come back?
Do you need me to believe in something?
It doesn't matter. Don't think, just let it go.
Oh hey this thread is back.
CAN I HAS MAIN STAGE?
I need you to beleive.
its also a matter of acoustics and environment. the sahara tent, which is decked out with speakers, lights and lasers from front to back, is geared toward electronic dance music
or we could all just get our vibe on with all the KOL fans. good idea
end of story
it would also invite a conflict with either sasha or boys noize, which is unacceptable
Boys Noize vs. Chems I could accept.
Sasha vs. Chems.....NO. Fuck NO.
Whatever, all three will be in the Sahara...no worries.
Iron Maiden, Boards of Canada and Underworld for 2013
i know i know i'm kidding. sorry it was more sacrilegious than funny. no one wants them on the main, the concerns are just over whether or not their screen will fit. but let's put this to rest...
8 extra football fields of grass across from the sahara where the pure filth will supposedly be also means a BIGGER SAHARA! i do believe this year will be the biggest sahara tent ever seen on the polo fields, largely due to the increased popularity of EDM, but also because they have the space and money to do it now. even just expanding the sahara twenty feet in width and a few feet in height would quell all of these concerns about the chems. fitting and i think that's exactly what is going to happen.
Anyone know where this extra "8 football fields" of space will be?
Edit: Never mind, I guess it will be where the stables are.

The first time I heard the Chems, I was like, 'this sucks, this is just a bunch of noise.' But eventually I came around and now I think they're great, though I haven't really followed them from album-to-album. I fucking love Dig Your Own Hole, and last year's Further was surprisingly good. Elektrobank is one of my favorite techno/dance songs ever.
Really excited for this show, especially since it's on the first night and I don't mind missing KoL, Interpol or The Black Keys. Been wanting to see the Chems live for a long time.
We're here to play some Mississippi Delta Blues. We're in a horrible depression, and I gotta admit - we're starting to like it.
