Rock Werchter is very good, not amongst my fave euro festivals-prefer the vibe at Roskilde and Glastonbury. The great pluses are the prices-really cheap tickets and food/drink. I went in 1996-Bowie, Radiohead, Rage, RHCP, Bjork, Foo, Neil Young and 2000 NIN, APC, oasis, cure, eels.
The crowd is fairly mixed euro crowd-usually very tall due to the number of Germans and Dutch who attend. The vibe is polite and respectful, you could say the crowd lacks energy at times. The weather is pretty changeable, so you have to be prepared for it to be wet or baking hot.

Overall, it is a very well run festival with great prices. It is relatively easy to reach, most people can speak some English. I would highly recommend it! You usually get some weird Euro pop or dance acts billed pretty high, and you will be baffled why the crowd is going crazy for someone you don't know.

Goose vs KOL....best scheduling ever! Really need to hit this festival up! Maybe in 2012....but must see Goose at this festival!

Not a bad start for a 4 day festival in Belgium. I am def interested in checking this out. Goose+Bjork would easily get me out there.

So the 2012 is now nearly complete. But check this out guys...First 3 headliners already previously announced in the last few weeks are RHCP, Cure and Pearl Jam. Big name acts we can all agree, and in keeping with this festival's tradition of booking big name acts to headline.

Yesterday they have announced the last and fourth headliner. Are you ready for it?....EDITORS. Are you kidding me? Somebody please explain to me how Editors is all of a sudden headliner status on a huge euro fest like this one.
