Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.
just throw a bunch of razor blades into the dance tent and we'll be fine
Last year was my first coachella..... i felt the crowd was diverse and friendly.
The kandy kids arn't to annoying, there just super talkative.
Bros, yeah....... they suck
Hipsters, I've come to the conclusion if you complain about hipsters then your most likely a hipster your self.
The only probably i had was people moshing during Muse, I was protecting my little brother and gf at the time, so i just turned around and pushed one of the guys as hard as I could and that was the end of that.
FYI for you guys, being buff helps, people really don't fuck with you.
Any who, I cant wait to meet new people this year.... should be a good time.
Also, in terms of crowding and space, didn't someone post something about how the festival grounds will be larger this year because they rented some extra space or something?
Massive Attack - 10/16 - Greek Theatre
Afrika Bambaataa - 10/29 - Low End Theory
Queens Of The Stone Age - 10/31 - The Forum
OFWGKTA Carnival - 11/8
Coachella '15 - 4/10-4/12
The crowd at AF's shrine show was half douchebro college students, half wannabe hipster 14-year-old girls. It was pretty entertaining, except when the row in front of me would not. stop. texting.
1/10: Mister Lies/Matthewdavid
Are you serious? This years crowd will SUCK! Look at the headliners: Kings of Fratland and Kanye Worst. After last years total brofest, my party of six are giving Coachella one more try. If it turns into anything like 2010, then we will find another safe haven. Deep down we all know that the Coachella we all know and love has been ruined. I'll try and have a good time this year, since I already know it will be the last time.
I didn't notice a bunch of frat bro's last year...but those people don't exist to me, so that could be the problem.
I'm hoping the absence of MGMT (and to a lesser extent, Phoenix) brings out fewer teenagers - at least they'll look a lot less stupid. I don't think the headliners are any less attractive to bros than Jay-Z or the Killers.
It will probably be really crowded like last year. Everybody on here just complains and complains about it, but I found a way to see everyone I wanted to just fine despite the crowd. And who cares what 'type' of people go, ignore em until they shout at you or dance into you several times, then whoop some ass.
I've got two fingers in the air, and ya gots to give me somethin to smoke.
hopefully an increase in Jersey Shore types
they look like a frickin good laugh
The best crowd I ran into last year was at Lollapalooza - the huge number of Japanese girls who turned out for X Japan - a Japanese hair-metal supergroup who had never played a U.S. non-benefit show. Hundreds of Japanese girls in costumes shouting "X!" and making arm gestures... and mercifully, they left when Japan X left, opening up a ton of space for the later acts (Wolfmother, Soundgarden).
Worst were the Thom Yorke fans who started pushing up against the gate between Jonsi and Phoenix, making it an unbearable idea to stick around at the barrier all day. Grumble.
At least Phoenix and Thom Yorke were worth the trouble!
"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."
— Faxman75, who has clearly had enough
Hipsters for days, count on it.
Arcade Fire have douche fans, their Lolla crowd last year was full of them.
This year;s crowd should be okay, it could be worse, you could have the Bonnaroo crowd.
KOL sure, but I really don't see Kanye drawing a douchey crowd.
i believe i read somewhere (perhaps in that LA Weekly article) that they're selling less tickets this year, and hopefully they'll have fixed the problem with the scanners that lead to thousands of people without legitimate tickets into the fest. so maybe it wont be too clusterfucky this time around.
Well there is a hip-hop headliner, so chances are there are going to be thiefs, crooks, and gang-bangers. They will be rude, and they wont respect the spirit of Coachella. Lock your tents up.
