thank you for informing this ignorant mind! ill will def be catching this set
too strange to live too rare to die
This is going to get freaky wild.
I was at their set at Electric Picnic last year... pretty amazing, but they are more suited to a smaller indoor venue. The main stage was too big. Hope they are playing one of the smaller areas at Coachella!! Seen them a few months before in a small club in Dublin.. Now that was something else !!!!anyway.... cant stop listening to Electric Picnic from last summer
They are probably the loudest act you will ever see...... The Bass!!!! Leftism is one of the best dance albums ever... It's going to be something special. See you there!!
WHY am I just now checking into Leftfield? Based on an inadvertent recommendation on another message board I thought I would give them more of a chance than the small snippets I checked out. Leftism might be one of the greatest albums I've heard in years. I'm fucking in love. Can anyone recommend where I should go next with these guys?
...To the sahara, of course
Sadly they only released two studio albums; Leftism and Rhythm & Stealth. The former is widly considered to be one of the best electromic albums of all time. But these guys made their name for their live show. Download and listen to this asap:
Leftfield Live @ Homelands 2000
Homelands is good but I don't think it's their best recording.
I like the Nottingham recordings.
Whaaaa? I must find these.
**is it the 1996 one?
No worries, I've already DL'd it. Thanks for the heads up.
This is the #1 act on my list to see. I've never seen them before, have been wanting to since 96, Been to countless festivals all around but before this, never could. It's about time!
They're playing at 9pm according to Neil Barnes via facebook.
Goodness, that early? How quickly I forget.
I suspect that someone else, likely Axwell, will come on after simply because of the number of Sahara acts that day. Not sure how they could squeeze everyone in before 10:30, especially with Sven playing for 2 hours.
Also, I'll riot if they shut it down early again.
Really bummed about missing PJ with this conflict but given her short set + numerous times I've seen her, I'm sticking w/ Leftfield whom I never saw and may never get to see.
...Were spectacular, albeit without Afrika Bambaata singing live. 60 mins wasn't enough; i danced my tail off to their entire set.
Really sad that I missed them but Kanye and The Strokes were worth it
