Ok, so I am going to use this thread to educate folks on Odd Future and make a post about each of the 10 or so members. Starting with the ones that people don't know much about.

I begin with Jasper The Dolphin (only because he has the best name).



Jasper doesn't do shit except for smoke weed and have sex. He doesn't really have any talents... except for "taking bitches" and "facing blunts".

He is featured on three Odd Future songs, "Swag Me Out" and "Round and Round" off the Radical mixtape, and "Tina" off Bastard. He's also a pretty good skateboarder. The only reason he is in the group is because he was Tyler's only friend in junior high.

He is also coming out with a mixtape called Dolphin Life (that is sure to suck in the best way possible) sometime this year.

Syd The Kyd



Sydney Bennett (19 years old) is the lone female of the group. She is responsible for a few beats on Mike G's (mediocre) album, Ali, as well the engineering, mastering, and mixing of each Odd Future song. She is oddly attractive. She is gay. She plays drums.

Syd's house (along with her younger brother Taco's) is where all of the recording takes place. Her parents have a guest house in which they allow the kids to be creative in. It has become like a second home to many members of the group.

They don't really do it as often as you might think. That's just the shock-value shit that gets the most attention. Domo/Mike/Hodgy pretty much don't mention it. It's mostly Tyler, and sometimes Earl.

The Super 3



The Super 3 are a two-man production team made up of Matt Martians and Hal (of NRK) who also go by the name The Jet Age Of Tomorrow. They make experimental, mostly instrumental, psychedelic, jazz/funk-influenced, space music. Some of it is good, some of it is not. Matt is the oldest member of Odd Future (21), and currently lives in Atlanta, along with Hal. Their first album Voyager was mostly bad with a few bright spots, but Journey To The 5th Echelon was a major improvement. It also features Om'Mas of Sa-Ra as well as Casey Veggies, Vince Staples and various members of Odd Future.

They are also working on a live show at the moment, as they have yet to perform any of this material live. Not sure how it's going to work yet, or if they will be featured at Coachella or not. My guess would be no, considering Odd Future live shows are usually at least an hour due to all the members and material, and I don't see them getting more than a 50 minute time slot at the fest.

Frank Ocean



Frank Ocean is the most recent member of Odd Future and probably the least similar to any of the others. He doesn't eat red meat (the rest of the gang is obsessed with bacon), lives in New York City and is the lone R&B singer of the group. He was first featured at the end of Domo Genesis' song, "Steamroller". More noticeably he sings the hook on two songs off MellowHype's BLACKENEDWHITE album:





A while back it was mentioned that he and Hodgy Beats were working on an album that was a little more laid-back and R&B influenced (for the ladies). But I have yet to hear anything more about it.
