The doubters have to give Monklish credit for this one...She had this on her blog a couple days ago before anybody had even discussed the possibility of them being on here. Who does she work for anyways? And is she banned from this board?

I apologize in advance if this has been discussed already, but I'm curious to learn more about the mysterious Monklish and who her connections are.

To be honest, I saw people talking about a DFA1979 reunion before Monklish posted anything but not here on the forum. Just random comments on various sites that ended up being true.

Monklish didn't post DFA on the list till after someone randomly bumped an old DFA thread like 2-3 days ago. There weren't really any rumors or anything, just "damn that would be awesome"'s.

But do you think thats why it happend? Because of a random bump? Or they they knew? I would go with the latter, its not something that would be heresay, would it? If thats how things went on around here, why wouldnt COS put DFA on their list too? they take everything else from around here, why not that?

Well I don't know why it happened. Someone must have known something right? Someone on here probably, just didn't say anything. Then Monklish found out. I'm not saying Monklish only posted it cause she saw the thread bump, just stating that the thread bump came first.

Either way I'm not complaining. Bring on JFK's wall of bass.

Has anyone seen them before? Should I expect a pit? Might be a silly question, but I can see it going either way...

My favorite moment from that show was during Romantic Rights. Sebastien got off his kit to get on the mic and some fat guy gets up on stage, sits on the throne and starts drumming. Sebastien gets fucking PISSED and rushes over to the guy who's twice as big as him, and fucking throws him off the stage.

This is going to be the best thing ever.

Will you all just admit that at least half of your boners are for Jesse's mustache. His mustache headlined the Sahara in 2009, if you don't remember.

    9/12: Shifted @ Mercer
    9/24 - 28: Decibel Festival
    10/3-5: Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival
    10/4: Ought @ BoH
10/5: The War on Drugs, Cass McCombs @ The Fillmore
    10/18-19: Treasure Island Music Festival

Of course not. Supre is more of a decoy. You're my exit strategy.

Scoff. I was at Gang Gang Dance.

I did see that mustache in 07 though. That was a fun set.

    300k is my random guess

Grainger owns Giant studios in Toronto with Jimmy/Emily from Metric.

I used to have a negative attitude towards these guys because an ex of mine fucking loved them and I fucking hated her. In my old age I've realized you can't hate a band because of one person. Well, you shouldn't. Anyway, they're pretty good.

Only Tallguy can be your shield. Or your tower of protection. You know, shoulder rides and all? But a wall of chris' would garunantee your safety though...

i remember waiting for MSTRKRFT in 2008, and yet quietly fantasizing for DFA to burst into the Sahara playing a bad-trip-inducing rendition "Turn it Out" instead.

i got the chills when i heard they were playing
