    well, they did have the section quartet, either last or 2 years ago, but they are known for doing covers of radiohead and the like to appeal to the coachella crowd..

    i love their work in a context that lends to some instrospection, but not sure if the average 20 something year old will at a large festival

    One of the members son went to my high school same time I did and they used to play free concerts there like 12-14 years ago. They put on great shows from what I can remember. It was really sad though cuz the son died of heart failure when he was a sophmore. I didn't really know him, but he seemed like a great guy.

    i've seen 'em a few times. really good. They are on Amon Tobin's new record "Foley Room" on the opening track Bloodstone. Really cool song.

    If only Clint Mansell and Kronos would get together, and bring along Mogwai for some of the music from the Fountain, i can die happy at that concert.

    O man...a Hollywood Bowl show with Kronos Quartet and Mogwai playing the Fountain music along with the film playing on the screen...

    What about Philip Glass conducting the Kronos Quartet and Mogwai playing the Qatsi films on the screen?

    That would be amazing! I'd love to see it at Coachella...but if not that DEFINETLY the bowl!

    I saw Kronos in 05. They played with Asha Bholse, the Bollywood singer. They opened as well, and it was awesome.
