ICP vs Daft Punk

D. Being funny

I would have booked the above as being pre-requisites for a Clown Posse.
This thread appears to be a bit skewed. I'll try to rationalise -
At least DP follow through entirely on the whole robot thingy wheras ICP only seem to put the make-up on and shower the crowd with water.
Also, if any of them walked into my local bar dressed like that acting the big hard man - they would get a sound kicking, at least. And thats off the girls.

Whoa! I had ICP all wrong! I hadn't given them a proper listen since their debut album but if I had, I wouldn't have so quickly cast my vote for Daft Punk. After seeing them command the stage so powerfully and hearing them spit their thought-provoking lyrics, I've got some ruminatin' to do.

Actually I am a dafthead! I even bought Saturday tix for Vegoose! 3rd time I will being seeing them. I think the antagonism comes from everyone being fully on their jock. I really dig 'em, but they are just 2 guys dressed up as robots. Really, they just have robot helmets on - otherwise they are basically dressed in motorcyle leathers. Again, I think they are badass, but they play the exact same set every time. So you know they show isnt going to be anything new. I guess they dont have to swithc it up, people like me are paying to see them over and over.

Didnt see your ? in the lounge. My avatar is the album cover art for Pendulum: Hold Your Colour. Not so into them as of late, but havent felt the need to change the avatar yet.

Yeah, I guess it's easy to poke fun of the type of Daft Punk fans on this board who add 30 pages to particular threads with lyrics from "One More Time" or what-have-you. Guess I'll be seeing you at Vegoose!
As for my question, it's no big deal; people have lives outside of posting on this board every fucking day. (Or at least one would hope!) I thought it was a pic of a giant cartoon owl or an image of a hurricane (or some other sort of weather pattern) from space.

Sure but you can play similar setlists if you arent playing the same location. Seriously, for instance, the NY show was the first on the east coast in years. I highly doubt everyone at that show made it to coachella, or the west coast dates. The crowd doesnt know whats coming up (unless all 10,000 of them are drooling over youtube videos and bootlegs and praise DP the way we do, which I doubt).

now if they come back to LA or Coachella and play the same setlist, then we can complain about it.
