Is it me, or does this band have acid written all over them?

They're definitely channeling psychedelic 60's acid rock with their music, and they sound a lot like Cream to me, which is also the time in clapton's career when he was experimenting with acid

    Yeah Friday is ridiculous...

For me it's probably going to end up being

    Excision
    Tame Impala
    Magnetic Man
    Sasha
    Boys Noize
    Chemical Brothers

Depending on scheduling I'd really like to fit in Omar Rodriguez Lopez...

The closer it gets though the more excited I get for Tame Impala. My only concern is that they get the XX treatment from last year and get like a 5pm set on the Outdoor and it will be packed. They have been getting so much play on XMU lately.

Too bad it's still daytime for their set. Wish they could switch with CWK in what will always to me be the "Leonard slot" at the Outdoor.

I'm a huge impala fan, but the webcast sounded a little iffy in the beginning. And what did the drummer say about " were doing our best with what we have" or something to that extent?

It sounded amazing there, webcasts don't have shit on Coachella's speakers. I took that comment as more of a humble thing.

Humble pie. The 2nd half sounded great online. Just the beginning they seemed a little tentative ....and some of the arrangements dragged a little

They were probably a little scared in the beginning, but the crowd adored them.

    these.

they seemed like the type of band that still can't believe that they're now playing to crowds at festivals and not playing in their garage. the crowd seemed really stoked to see em and had a great vibe of embrace

i can't wait to see where these guys go with the next record.

I think you put your finger on it. These guys are really talented. Their bass player was the best one I hear this weekend and the guitar work is not your run-of-the-mill stuff. But the singer was a bit tentative and garbled and their presence was lacking. Seems like the album producer brought out what the event couldn't.

They caught their stride for the last third/half, though. Their last jam channeled some of the Dead's better stuff. I would definitely be a buyer with these guys. I don't think any two of them add up to my age, so they should grow into their talent.

Warpaint into them was really good. I was at the front with some caifenes fans that had never really heard most of the bands at the outdoor stage. They ended up really getting ito tame impala at one point. The transitions they would have were really good especially for the last song. The rhythm section just kept it together so well. I liked how the singer played off the crowd with the use of his delay peddle in the last song. Good show.

It was my second time seeing them and again they brought it. My gf and friends who were standing elsewhere (I was front center, 10 ppl back) thought it sounded very slow, might have been noob observations pyschedlic rock should be done slowly....

I had fun at their set. I would like to catch them again but at an indoor venue. Missed out on their last song (bummer) to watch the last 5 minutes of Ariel Pink.
