I'm going to have to sit this club out for now, but I voted for David Mitchell for all of you. I read The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet last summer and I loved it a lot. I'm currently reading Ghostwritten. Whenever you discuss Thousand Autumns and Blood Meridian, invite me to the thread. I read Blood Meridian last summer also.
EDIT: This post went back in time. I was not the 2nd person to post in this thread. The lineup draws near and its powers are bending space and time.
I voted for the ones I'd prefer and/or already own, but there's nothing on that list that I would be opposed to reading. Good list.

Hmm. I might have to hold off if we do the last one - it's not in paperback yet and might be hard to find used/libraried.

There's already some holds though, so yeah. Maybe not the best book if it's going to be difficult for people to find.
I used to work at a music company. I was being paid while making at least 3/4ths of those posts. I win... Mostly because of that, but also because I don't wear wraparound sunglasses.

Ok, poll is closed! Looks like Amsterdam by Ian McEwan it is.
Works for me. Shall we start on Friday?
Does anyone want to try this again?
