I kind of feel like this works better with unknown bands, because it's a way to get people to actually LISTEN and be like "oh shit this rules" before they have a chance to judge the lineup on names alone.

Not that I would be complaining if the Black Keys showed up on the homepage tomorrow.

If the lineup gets posted on Monday, and they continue doing one video a day until then, that'll only be five fairly minor confirmations before the full lineup. In my opinion that's a bit anti climactic. If they really want to make this "lineup unveiling" worth it, they need to start stepping it up to a few videos a day with the bands getting bigger and bigger as they go along.

This sounds reasonable. So would it be safe to say that Daft Punk and Arcade Fire are the two headliners? Although, I read somewhere that there was some article that was supposed to come out where Arcade Fire said they were supposed to headline but something came up and are now subbing. Has anyone else heard about this? If so is said article available for confirmation? If true, could we expect Daft Punk and Queens of Leon to headline and this other "unexpected" addition still in the works?

I see what you're saying and agree to a point. I wouldn't expect nor would I necessarily want headliners or even subheadliners announced through pre-full lineup videos but maybe start at like line 5 acts and move their way up to a line 3 act before revealing the full lineup?
