Only bad headliner is KoL. The rest are great, just not as big of acts as I would have expected.

Yeah, Kings Of Leon is the only shite headliner here but considering the available talent, I think the subheadliners could've been more inspiring and the billing seems a bit peculiar to me.

PJ Harvey, Leftfield, Radio Dept., Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, Eryka Badu, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, and even Glasser are all good/great bookings but I'm not at all about to drop funds on only 5 or 6 must-see acts.

Ruling Kings Of Leon out as headliner for the next few years is a silver lining I suppose, but as much as I can't believe I'm going to state this; I would've been more enthused if was Beastie Boys or (gasp)...The White Stripes were headlining Friday.

The second lines are meh but everything after that is great this year.
And KOL sucks of course but I bet The Chems or Sasha play against them in The Sahara

I get the impression that 15-20 acts said "no" before KOL got their million for headlining. I'm tempted to name them

The over crowding will be the bros at KOL. The camp sites might be a drunk shit show of bros and bro hos, but that should make for tons of room at all the great undercard shows.

Positive spin- I won't have to worry about getting a good spot, being anywhere at a certain time, my alcohol consumption or bladder emptying.

Rumor is, Bowie's gonna pop up in front of Arcade Fire there. Probably in like 12 hours. They're sealing the deal with handjobs as we speak.

back to the campsite Friday night for me, which is a good thing, cause I'm sure I'll be massively tired by then from the Thursday night drinking and staying up all night and waking up waaayyyy too early because of the heat. but KOL are the herpes of music festivals, they might go away for awhile, but they always come back. bastards.
