What sounds like John Mayer ?
What's the name of this thread again, Mark?
Ummm...I haven't heard it but I don't care for that comparison to John Mayer. Please tell me you're overstating it. Please?
However, I would like to point out for the record that I told Gabe that I had a hunch that Wilco had made their last great album with "A Ghost is Born." So...if what you're saying is right, than I am a prophet.
Saw then open for R.E.M. and at Coachella. Boooooorrrrriiiinnnngggg
Yeah, see, Boourns. Go fuck yourself.
They were boring at Coachella. But that was the only time I thought they were boring in the 8 or 9 times I've seen them.

Ummm, yeah, york. I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on that one. While it wasn't a highlight of the night, it was very good set, IMO. I saw them open for R.E.M. too, actually, and that show was fucking one of the best I've ever seen. In fact, I became a true Wilco disciple after seeing that. The last vestiges of my "Jay Farrar is the soul of Uncle Tupelo" thinking were left on the floor of that building. Swept up by a janitor who probably bought his tickets to Stagecoach yesterday.
Well, I watched half of it from the beer tent. I had seen them often, so I kind of let myself rest during that set. I had also seen them the previous Sept. at ACL, and they blew they roof off the... open... field... Anyway, I was trying to compare apples to apples by only comparing it to that set (and not the times I have seen them in clubs), and it just didn't stack up. in my opinion.

When I was in elementary school, we often would go up to someone and scratch their had and say: "Ohhh my balls itch!" If York were near me right now, I'd do the same. In fact, if I do see York at the festival, I'm getting a pick of me rubbing his head.
