My memory is foggy. On the 2010 website they have 4 stages but they don't have that outdoor stage listed (toadisco and bunny iirc). Anyway, on this year's site it has 5 stages with 3 listed as TBA. Last year's Caterpillar's Garden was more dubstep and Chess Village was with Bassrush. I think there is more to come and I think we are going to like it.

There's more than just trance and dnb that's been announced. Let's analyze the supposed dnb lineup announced so far (Caterpillar's Garden):

the dnb: Noisia, Dirtyphonics, Netsky, and Fresh (does Fresh still produce/play dnb?). These are solid.

Then there is Datsik, Jakwob, and Kastle which are variations of dubstep. I think we're gonna get slammed with another area of bass music considering how popular it is and since there were 2 areas of it last year. I think once we figure out whether or not Bassrush is involved again we will have a better idea. Now if they come out with an all dubstep area I will cry. I need more dnb. (but I will be satisfied with some solid house or techno). Oh, time to really geek out and look over that Ultra lineup for possible adds...

I don't give a flying fuck about the other area announced but I looked up Showtek for shits and giggles. WOW. Their photo on last.fm is terrific.

showtek is a joke right...? I have an older friend (37) who ravesss about how great they are, every time he puts them on I just want to slap him in the face.

I saw them once, not my type of music but they did put on one hell of an energetic show. They didn't have those horns or makeup though it would have made it more entertaining if they did.

I've never been to an Insomniac production before. Only 40,000 people and it's 18 + and glo gloves are now contraband? Hmmm.....

Cara, Insomniac throws some great parties. Obviously EDC has gotten to be more massive than massive, but the others they throw can be really fun as well. is very well suited to host these events. People usually complain about the National Orange Show venue because it has been used so much and it's in fucking San Bernardino, but it is really well suited to host these kind of events. I would doubt that 40,000 people attend. If that many do show up it doesn't feel that way. There will certainly be a lot of people, but it won't be uncomfortably crowded. I bet with 18+ rule it is even better.

And they have a refillable water bottle program? Awesome. I think I'm sold on trying this event out. I'm going to visit my good friend in Chino Hills that weekend, so I'll be nearby. PARTYTIME!

They only had 1 refilling station hopefully they increase the number of those because the line was rediculously long for it. This is the best time if any to go to an Insomniac event. With them going 18+ and banning light toys it should get rid of most of the e-tards. Nocturnal and Audiotistic didn't seem overly packed this year.

The NOS is a perfect venue imo. Insomniac always transforms the area into a perfect setting for this kind of festival.
