Well my first experience at NOS was a great one. Aside from the difference in time it took ladies to get in compared to the horrendous wait for guys... ended up getting there later than intended (as usual). Got inside the festival at around 6.

Didn't see as many people as intended or even some people I had ever even heard of.

Here is who I ended up seeing-

Porter Robinson -eh it was ok, pretty standard.

Manufactured Superstars - they were ok, but do they really have to throw in the "you are listening to manufactured superstars" line like 5 times every 5 minutes... gets fucking old guys, but some fun songs they threw together.

Calvin Harris - Loads of fun, great songs, great energy.

Marco Carola - HOLY FUCKING SHIT, favorite set of the night, didn't even know who he was, got down with my bad self for his whole set.

Loco Dice - Caught the beginning of his set for about 30 minutes, was great and wanted to hear more, but the girls wanted to head to Kaskade a bit early, which meant...

Dirty South & Kaskade - Good cheesy way to end the night Kaskade closed with his remix of One More Chance - by his Late Night Alumni band, which i personally love so that was a good way to close out the night (i know i know it wasn't because it wasn't Richie mother-fucking Hawtin).

It was a fucking freezing night every time you stepped out into the open air and the fire installations barely helped lol. The fireworks were ehh but fun to watch for a little.

Bottom Line - I need more Marco Corola.

Bottom Line - You are a fucking retard for watching Dirty South & Kaskade instead of Richie Hawtin. What is wrong with you?

If Marco did the trick for you, then Richie would have made you drown in your own semen.

I started with Calvin Harris and Funkagenda. Funkagenda really surprised me, considering I had not seen them before. A very fun set! I watched party of Dirty South, but left for another set... maybe bad boy billy? It was alright. I then went over to Chess village where I danced with everything I had in me! It was amazing. Hawtin literally blew my mind. I thought the art was really cool, but I kind of expected more to be honest.

Exactly. Plus the 40ish degree weather kept me from staying outdoors for too long at one period of time.

This too. I had some pretty good times on the outside stage, but it was to cold to really get into the set. Oh well, I had a freaking blast everywhere I was. I didn't her any bad music all night. Can't beat that.

Security explained this as, the girls were not wearing very much to search. (True for the most part).

I actually went outside for a while during Loco Dice, and the weather wasn't so bad at all (the wind was not blowing so strongly).

I was actually surprised that the girls still wore the outfits they did. I should know better considering what kind of an event I was at... I was wearing long pants and a sweat shirt, and still dying. I kept saying to my boyfriend how bad I felt of the girls wearing nothing. They had to be freezing.

I was never cold. But then again I was getting down inside the DnB room most of the time .

Whenever I was inside I was fine, guessing because the wind wasn't able to get it, and all of the people dancing kept me warm! I am probably a little bias to because we walked a mile to and from our hotel. Glad that you didn't freeze though

Room where dnb was in is always so fucking hot. I can't imagine what it must have been like in there during datsik or any other time it was super crowded. I love how I didn't even step foot into 3 areas. Thanks to all who went to see the bullshit on from 12:30-2. There was SO much room to get fucking down to Richie and the crowd there was amazing.

Sometimes you have to see something on your own to have the best night possible, maybe get friends/girlfriends with better taste in music.

Edit: Thanks for not being there though, the 7 girls you were with probably would have been sitting on the ground taking up dancing room durring one of the most amazing sets I've ever heard in my life.

Is it Friday, Saturday... Or Saturday, Sunday? Do you know where in the palms it is being held? I know I read the paper on Saturday night, but I don't remember the details... big surprise.

If it's anything like last year it's held at multiple clubs with a headliner in each one, tickets were WAAAYYYYY overpriced last year if I remember correctly.

Paris Hilton was at Beyond Wonderland? Hah. She looks like she probably was in VIP the entire night and ended up at Kaskade. Who knows, maybe she would have thought Richie's set was Hawt. We'll never know.

FOUR TET. HOT CHIP. SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO. BOOKA SHADE. LEE SCRATCH PERRY. BEACH HOUSE.

Richie Hawtin. James Blake. Loco Dice.

For people curious about my Richie Hawtin videos....

I did record about 1 hours worth of Richie but for some reason the bass came out like crap. This is both a little disconcerting and disappointing. Don't get me wrong, it is pretty good quality but not the quality that I expect and demand. Everything is good on it except the bass. I, personally, find it unacceptable. It doesn't have that clean sound my other videos do. I can't remember if there was a speaker in the sound booth that I might have inadvertently been standing next to or if it was just the acoustics of the hanger or what it was because the sound wasn't louder than other events I have taped. Maybe I accidentally changed the audio setting during the show while I was trying to find the "audio only" setting since getting the proper video shot was going to be more difficult than I expected. I'm not sure what happened.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I'll upload a clip in the next day or 2 and people can judge for themselves.
