    Chicago. Not sure when.

    Pavement is headlining.
    *based upon tedious fact checking.

Someone told me they're looking for a new venue, would make sense seeing how every year has sold out and this just keeps getting bigger

COS is saying Neon Indian and The Smith Westerns are expected. Kind of a no brainer.

The last 2 years i've been able to get flights for around 150, round trip. I will probably go this year. I've enjoyed the last 2.

That would make me sad. Part of Pitchfork's appeal is its smallness.

It is, but it does make sense to bigger. In 2008 you couldn't get anywhere near the Balance stage for Raekwon & Ghostface it was so packed. Still, I hope they keep it at union park. I like it there.

I heard that Washed Up is playing.

If I'm in the country, I'll be there. That was caveat last year, and it wound up that I wasn't in the country. I could sure use more than one Pavement set in my life.

When I went in 2007, it seemed like the perfect size, except for an over-crowding issue at the Dan Deacon stage which led to the fire department shutting the stage down for a while.

But it seems like this is more an issue of limiting the number of tickets and having better crowd control and stage set-ups, rather than moving to a larger venue.

They switched that stage location in 2008, I'd assume it stayed switched in 09. It defintiely helped with crowd control. The big thing with the Raekwon/Ghostface deal was that no one else was playing when they actually went on since they took so long to start. Thus, everyone walked over to see them.

first, you put your initial big draws to get the most attention. Yes, flaming Lips came later, but theres no reason to hide Pavement when you know its going to happen. Oh btw

The first round of bands will be announced on Friday, February 5th as well. Two-day passes will not be available for purchase. I wonder if Pavement will play Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain in its entirety. Didn't pitchfork give that album a 10 rating?
