Default Best Festival of 2010 urb.com

Yea, I hope you all agree that it's Coachella despite the clusterfuck.

There's quite a large list here and I've only been to Coachella this year, so how were the other fests?

    Fail list.

It doesn't even have Sasquatch, which was a hell of a lot of fun.

While living in Seattle, I went to Sasquatch in '09 and '10 and I definitely recommend it.

The fest has an intimate feel, with a good vibe and strong party atmosphere. There's always something worthwhile on stage and the dance acts are getting better and better. This year they've increased the fest's length from 3 days to 4. The Gorge is 3.5 hours from Seattle, so it can be a bit of hike, but the venue is certainly worth it.

In the offseason, they erected a new stage. It's a bit of an eye-sore, but provides better protection from the elements, which can be fickle.

Looks pretty laid back. I'm liking that tall grassageness. Looked colder in 2010 than it did in 2009 so it seems like the new stage was a good move.

Oh also on that contest thingamajig I saw that you can add your own venue at the very bottom. Convenient.

Dunno, but it sure does look like it. Sounds weird though: 3 day fest, 1 stage, and dance acts in between band performances?

No, there are 3 stages and 1 Comedy/Dance Tent.

The dance acts take over the comedy tent,. They start in the early evening and go until late. Last year the promoters also used the second largest stage for "late night" sets by Booka Shade (awesome) and deadma5 (boo).

Phantogram on the Yeti Stage, which is the smallest stage:

Portugal the Man on the Bigfoot Stage, which is the 2nd largest stage. You can see the Sasquatch campgrounds in the background.

Yea I 'spose you're right, but I can't (don't want to) imagine it getting any worse than it was this year.

Did any of you bother to add Sasquatch in the field at the bottom of the list that is meant for doing just that?

Alright then, carry on. Just wanted to make sure that with all the complaining about it not being on there someone at least made an attempt to get it added.

That new stage is a bummer. NIN at Sunset in 09 was an amazing sight to see.
