I can't wait for the nearly inevitable Deerhunter or Atlas Sound record
Deerhunter is already coming out with a new record? Huh.
Also, Gang Gang Dance finished their new album today. Hopefully it leaks soon.

It veered a bit heavy into hippie territory for my taste...
Ah. Last time I saw them they played 3-4 new songs... sounded like they were heading in a different direction. What are your thoughts on their newest EP?

Well, since 2007 there've been 3 Deerhunter albums (technically 4 with Weird Era), 2 EPs, 2 official Atlas Sound albums, the four he put up online for free recently, a ton of limited press singles and a constant stream of stuff from the blog, so I'm expecting at least one Bradford-related album next year.
Yeah, they finished recording a bit ago. I guess they finished mixing and what not today.
I'm interested in hearing that collaboration. I wish I could make it to their ATP event. I need to see Black Dice again. They opened for Animal Collective here and it was great... loud as shit.

Uh, you guys never heard of the Meat Puppets? I take it you're not Nirvana fans then? ... Unplugged.
Anyway, they're fucking awesome. All of their albums are good and I've seen them twice and both times they were the real deal holyfield.
I don't think either of them were referring to the Meat Puppets. They might have fit into the "many," but I kinda doubt it.
Yeah, I was referring to the more "obscure" names. I've seen the Meat Puppets a couple of times, actually.

Oh. Also check out Group Doueh. They are sublime frequencies band from the sahara. All that sublime frequencies stuff rules pretty hard if you are into world music in general.

Oh my bad. I thought you said "any" instead of "many."
Dude, check out that Frogs album if you don't know it already. It's acoustic-ish joke-ish songs ripping on gay stereotyping by blowing it up to its excesses. There's also a famously not good drum break from it that Beck once sampled and lauded on a hit song.

James Blake's first concert footage.
so I've only listened once, but the James Blake rules really hard. even the things I don't like about it seem to get spun in really interesting ways. i think it starts off stronger than it ends, but I need to process it a bit more.
Yeah, it turned out precisely like I had hoped it would. "I Never Learnt to Share" becomes absolutely scorching at the end.
Listening to Asobi Seksu's Fluoresence. This is the first time i've ever listened to them. Musically i quite like it, but i find the singer annoying in every conceivable way. I think i would be hard-pressed to listen to this again.
