I was on the bass pyramid on saturday completely out of my mind. Who else made it up there?
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
I've never gone to the absolute top of that thing. I have an overdeveloped concern for personal safety at festivals. Probably because I'm stumbling around seeing weird things.
I don't think I went to the top this year. Last year Bob and I were on top of that pyramid moving clouds during Soul Clap, though.

The top of the bass pyramid is where they play the heavy shit.

Let's get a techno house next year, friends.

I imagine yes -- I know some SF people who stayed in a house this year.

flea and I looked into it, but there isn't a ton that is within walking distance, and generally speaking you need to be organized with money up front. I'm probably just sticking with the hotel. I liked the troubletree.![]()
What about squatting in an abandoned house?

There was nothing in walking distance on VRBO when I looked last year, only driving distance. I'm with Heidi on this one, troubletree was pretty perfect for me.
4/19-4/21 Coachella
5/3-5/5 Denver
5/18 Agoria/Stacey Pullen (NYC)
5/25-5/27 DEMF (Detroit)
6/5 Bjork (Palladium)
6/13-6/15 Sonar (Spain)
Did she make it to any last year? I don't feel like Old Miami counts, since she went after having had a night's sleep.
Just because the after parties I went to weren't ticketed or on RA or with other people doesn't mean that I wasn't partying super hard in some other dimension.
It's as if you jerks don't even appreciate the aesthetic of the pillow after party.

I like to do lots of drugs and then go to lucid afterparties.
I think im going to reserve a few rooms at that mariott right on the venue.

The Ren Center, while being close, is supposedly pretty shitty...
I briefly chilled in a mariott room and it was pretty badass. Nice view ect, and i recall the price being reasonable. Def a step up from the doubletree in terms of quality and location. In and outs with a room next door sounds great.
