I don't plan on it but I did want to do a Fest that weekend. LIB is now out of the question. Waiting on the Sasquatch lineup.

Flights to Detroit are high. I just checked from MSP to Det and it was 330 but to Chi is 190. Driving to Minneapolis kills 3 hours of my time each way and is 80 bucks additional in fuel. My best bet would be to drive and pay 300 in fuel. I have a friend that lived in Detroit for 7 years going to UMich and I think I could get him to come with. I got him to go to Coachella last year for his first fest and he always asks when the next one is. I also just messaged a friend who does roadie work there to see if he can get any perks or if the company he works for is doing the sound or lighting.
I don't need some sort of math problem jerk just say yes

I can recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. It's right downtown there. There is also a hotel being renovated right now that is suppose to be done by April. It is the old Ponchatrain hotel but will now be a Crowne Plaza hotel. It's located right on Jefferson and would be a prime spot if it does in fact open on time.

go to clr.net and you can find podcasts for Tommy Four Seven, Truncate, Brenden Moeller, Drumcell, DVS1, Luke Slater, Silent Servant, Rrose. All great artists!

I think it's time to repost the security guard dancing

    Also, breakdancers > ravers
(The little kid trying to break dance is cute... the white guy after him, lololol)

Why are my YouTube searches not coughing up any of the dance circles under the stargate?

I have at least 6 in my crew. Can i get a headcount of all the people that would want to throw down on a house?

$7000 a week?!!! for what? I can't imagine any property in Detroit renting for that much a month let alone a week. Not 100% I'm going yet but in the event I do I will have transportation & room. So everybody is shooting for Corktown or where to stay? Anybody remember the hotel that the Industrial club is in at the top?

The Leland/City Club. That hotel is abandoned. I've run amok in it on a non-DEMF excursion.

No shit? Damn that was decent spot to stay and clsoe by. Guess I won't be staying there then. just to confirm Soul this is the one that you walked around to the parking lot where there was a separate entrance to the club and you walked upstairs to it right?

I can't imagine that having been abandoned what a loss. Wonder if it was condemned. Definitely felt haunted in there but I like that kinda atmosphere.

That club was a blast to after party in with all the oldschool goths although I don't think they appreciated the ravers on their turf.

Patrick, Morgan has just passed along a recommendation (and spelling correction) for Echologist - the album Subterranean.

I'm starting DEMF research today. I'm working from home, and last night I yelled at my neighbor for playing music so loud (even though it actually sounded like good music), so I've had to remind MYSELF several times this morning to turn the music down.

Did they use the stage (or area I should say) facing the river that has the concrete support walls & shitty acoustics last year?

I could be wrong. Maybe some of it is open, they have an active website, but the part we were in was abandoned. We went in through the club entrance. The club was closed but the gate to go up to the rest of the hotel was open and it was definitely abandoned. That was almost exactly a year ago. So I don't know.
