I just got my tickets in the mail. 19 days! This is my first year and I'm beyond excited. I'm just beginning to get into the world electronic music and DJs and I'm using DEMF as a sort of initiation.

What's St. Andrews like as a venue?

It's a very old church. Main area, which is St. Andrew's proper, is just a big room, with a stage with an upper balcony. The basement is the legendary venue The Shelter (8 mile/eminem fame). Just a basement dwelling but the sound just slams into you from the concrete walls. Upstairs, if it's open, is a nice airy room and often called the Burn's room. Overall a great venue with a TON of Detroit music history of techno, hip hop and rock!

Everyone, my crew is throwing a party Saturday morning thats a full brunch with chill sounds and homies. Friends and strangers- all invited. I'll come back with our new flyer and info as soon as i can

So far my agenda for the weekend is looking a little like this:
Friday: (Shit Show flight to DTW) -> hang out with sibs for a bit/liquor run -> Life & Death party. Maybe a little Bang Tech if I have time.
Saturday: Brunch -> fest -> Circo Loco -> get some fucking sleep
Sunday: Shit Show -> fest -> Rare Form for a few hours (leaving the fest early probably) -> KMS 25
Monday: Need I Say More -> fest -> Hot Creations
Tuesday: get some fucking sleep -> Slow's -> home? Home.

Mine is largely the same, except not sure if I'm after-partying on Saturday and I'd say my Monday after party status is dubious, at best

And I'm fully expecting to get to Monday's party and find it is over capacity. :P At which point I'll just party in my room all night.

Since I gambled my life on trying to move and fucking failed, I'm probably just not going to do any after parties this year and hope somehow I have enough cash for food. Unless I get a decent job in the next week or something. I'm just grateful to be able to go at all.

So as a twist of fate, I will no longer be able to make DEMF... I bought a ticket back before the main sale and have a hotel room reserved at Milner in downtown Detroit available. I have the ticket available for $60, the hotel reservation I can change to another's name; room is about $100 a night for Sat-Tues. PM me if interested. PM me if interested in either.
