Fucking Skrillex is everywhere. Doesn't seem like there's a lot of big names in place yet. But a very enticing start. A lot of stuff I'm passingly familiar with but want to explore deeper. Seems like a good range of house, techno, minimal, (post-)dubstep, and some other miscellanea so far. Visionquest is Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtiss for what it's worth to anyone. This wait is killing me.

Visionquest is going to be amazing. So far I am very excited: Sven Vath, Scuba, Mimosa, Marcel Dettman, and Art Department are all super solid acts for me. Oh yeah, and Green Velvet live won't ever disappoint.

Deepchord (real name Rod Modell) is an electronic music producer from Detroit, Michigan. He worked with Mike Schommer to produce music under the Deepchord moniker as well as create a similarly named record label; however, currently the artist name of "Deepchord" represents only Modell. The musical style of Deepchord is similar to both the minimal Berlin sound of artist like Basic Channel and the techno tradition of Detroit.[1]

Modell might be best known for his collaboration with Stephen Hitchell (Soultek) as Echospace. In 2007, they released the album The Coldest Season on the record label Modern Love.[2] Modell has also performed live with Hitchell as Echospace.[

So I assume it's both of them together that's the difference. I was always confused about that "Deepchord presents Echospace" shit. This clears things up a little.

Okayyy, I'm going. I've never gone and I've wanted to for a few years and its only a 40 minute drive. I'm not very familiar with a lot of acts, but it sounds like a lot of fun anyway.
