Cara, they are also allegedly doing a AYLI show in SF 2 weeks after DEMF.

While at the W Hotel for the Tiger & Woods show, I confirmed with one of the AYLI people that Kollektiv Turmstrasse was indeed coming. I asked about the venue too, but have since forgotten if I was given a definite answer.

Yea, they are doing a show with Kassem Mosse on June 8th. I don't think the venue has been announced yet. I'm kind of assuming Beatbox but I guess we'll see soon?

The boat was fun but I might skip it this year unless the lineup is unmissable. There are so many parties to go to...

I'm sure what a venue is 51 weekends out of a year is a moot point during this weekend.

Some of these places, I can't even imagine what they're like the rest of the year.

Like TV Lounge was shitty.... plywood looking floor upstairs, that bounced so hard it felt like you might fall through to the ground floor when everyone was dancing... downstairs was maybe the warmest room I've ever been in. So packed that it would take like 15-30 minutes sometimes to try to move from the downstairs room to upstairs room. Yet... AWESOME.

But I don't think it's a stretch that people might be allowed to smoke indoors at a cigar club? Dunno. Cigar smokers are sometimes curiously weird about not wanting cigarette smoke around.

The boat was fun, but I think we'd all agree that I was not (and probably will not) be in a state to really make the best of it. I felt antsy being stuck in one party location for hours.

Though the nice thing was that the boat party was not very crowded. It seems like everything else I went to last year was really packed.
