I loved what Patrick did last year with the list of recommendations from each artist on the lineup.

Yeah, I'm cool with just a list. Like I said, I can get most of my stuff from slsk, and it's just nice to have a list that's easy to reference when you want to throw something on or check out something new instead of being faced with a massive discography to potentially download.

I think just a list is a good place to start. Presumably most of us can figure out a way to download, stream, or buy music from that list, if we're so inclined. Links to legal downloads (such as for live sets / mixes) would be nice too. Like I said, I really liked the way Patrick organized it last year, because at least it gave me a starting point for the artists I wasn't familiar with. And I liked that it was kept updated as other people added suggestions.

I'm happy to take a stab at managing a list here, but I can't get started on it for like 2 weeks (going to be out of town / not on the board much). So maybe someone else can give it a try? If not, I'll do it once I'm back from my trips.

He was denied a visa when he was booked for decibel last year, so I don't feel confident about him playing the US at all. Hopefully at least WMC works out for him.

I have a friend who has been working very hard on booking him for some time. My understanding is that they're not so worried about the visa at this point... just that he wants to finish his album.

I have a weird feeling that's something my sister in law will really be into (the skating), but whether they'd go would depend on how fucked up they get and whether they have left the kid at home or not.
