Worst critically acclaimed band of.. relatively recent history.
don't get mad at me for my list, I think many of these bands are wonderful, I just want to see how people vote.
Muse and Pearl Jam come to mind.
Eric Clapton (solo)
Stevie Ray Vaughn
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
Also, The Arcade Fire. My personal Hell involves the AF crew singing at me while I'm forced to slice bagels with a poorly designed uni-tasking tool. Though I guess even the most poorly sliced bagel is delicious when a small amount of heat is applied. Maybe that's true for The Arcade Fire as well.

You know, now that I think of it, the only critically-adored band that I can recall ever really aggressively enraging me are Animal Collective.

Should have been a poll.
If any band from last decade stands to influence this decades music
is one of them.
It's the critics part that throws me.
The band that everybody seems to like and I just can't get into would be . . . Sigur Ros.
This wasn't the world we wanted. This wasn't the dream.
oh yeah, i knew I was forgetting something. Animal Collective.
