So I am going to make use of this thread as part of my prepwork for FFF.

Tomahawk - Tomahawk (They have the guitar player from the Jesus Lizard and Mike Patton. Their first two are fantastic, I'm not a fan of the third album though.)
Torche - Meanderthal (Really good metal, but depends on how much you like metal.)
I think you'll likely love Lucero, although I can't recommend anything after 2006 since I stopped listening to their new stuff around then (without a good reason, to be honest). The one I really liked by them was That Much Further West.
Weird, i was just about to bump this thread as well. Anyways, Sebadoh. Have always loved Dinosaur Jr., but have never properly gave one of their albums for some reason.
Tom, you are going to love Lucero. The definitive album to always recommend for them is Tennessee. it is such a fantastic collection of dirty, whiskey-soaked al-country songs full of lost love and melancholy.
However, they've really shifted their sound in the last couple years from a more bare bones, gritty alt-country sound to a more big-band Americana sound with the inclusion of honky tonk piano and a small horn section, and their live shows really reflect this because of the extra band members and wanting to give the somehting to do. They will probably still throw a song or two from Tennesee, and I'd say that simply getting into the band without doing research for a live show, that and the two albums that follow - That Much Further West and Nobody's Darlings - are their best.
To get a better sense of what their current live show is like, I'd go with 1372 Overton Park and then Women and Work. Start with Tennesee first regardless though, as it will give you an extremely good sense of what they're about.
i'm really bored with music right now (specially dance music - same boring drops, glitch blah blah)
I want to hear some awesome new drum & bass - something similar to Logisitics, Stanton Warriors or early Diesel Boy. I usually listen to stuff off MonsterHospital label.
also anyone comparable to Bent? thanks

Thanks Bryan! Any reason in particular you recommended a greatest hits, besides it almost causing you to crash your car?
i believe i have a spare copy of diasporas (the Dais pressing) that I could sell you for a steal. it was included in the Vinyl-On-Demand boxset (which you should probably seek out instead), so I ended up with two copies.
