The Wedding Present.
Seamonsters, hands down. I wrote about it here (in the MLBMOTW thread) and there's probably still a link for it in the group, if you're a member.
After Seamonsters, go to George Best then Watusi.
Pretty Lights
Taking Up Your Precious Time. It's his first, back when he had a more hip hop/trip hop style.
or Spilling Over Every Side if you're more into his newer wubwub (dubstep) style.
You might as well get them all though, they're all free on his website.
p.s. His new-ish singles We Must Go On and So Bright are both pretty good.
Treasure - This was the album where they solidified roster and sound. This album is also my avatar!
"Ivo" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDyujx0BZSg
Heaven or Las Vegas - A little more recognizable / agreeable if Treasure didn't work.

If you want more, ask. One of the bands I listen to almost every day.
I've loved this band for years and years, and the good news is that they're still incredibly tight. You should check their tour dates – they've gotten into the habit of playing albums in their entirety, and on the 11th I'm seeing them in Atlanta playing George Best and the next night I'll see them in Athens playing their two Hit Parade albums. I'm sure they've got some West Coast dates because that's where Gedge lives now part-time.
Ha! figures They are playing a tiny LA venue in two weeks and I'll be up in SF .As well I already have Tomahawk shows to see when they are playing in SF.O well I will see them on their next tour when I know their stuff better.

The bands I know from these Psychfest bands actually only have 1 or 2 albums.
I concur with FEELs on Tamaryn.
No Joy have one full length called Ghost Blonde, and both it and the recent Negaverse ep are very good.
Suuns also have only one full length, Zeroes QC, and it's pretty interesting. They're much better live - a lot noisier and a lot more rockin'.
Young Magic is probably my favorite of the bunch. Their debut 2012 album Melt is totally weird and awesome.

Roky Erikson is tough because he has a career on his own that I'm not overly familiar with. He was also a member of the 13th Floor Elevators, and that band was out of this world. The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators is one of the all time great albums.
The Specials
I wanna start listening to Scott Walker. I was planning on listening to his five cd anthology first.. is that a good idea?

I feel like Tilt is the better place to start for new stuff, since it's shorter and slightly more accessible than The Drift. The Drift is better, to be sure, but to get the trilogy in full effect it's best to start from the beginning.
I'm listening to those tomorrow.
thanks guys!
Listened to the newest Nick Cave release Push the Sky Away and really enjoyed it. I have never listened to any of his other stuff. What should I listen to next?
