Whitehouse are incredibly important as far as industrial noise goes. Ultimately they were the first power electronics band. They extremism is totally ludicrous... but just compare it to marquis de sade or georges bataille... you can only really take it seriously within its own internal logic.

either way they are very very serious. i appreciate power electronics for how it has merged in many ways with musique concrete (see Yellow Tears)... it's not terribly interesting music in and of itself though, at least... the sensory overload numbs really quickly. but i guess that's kind of the idea...

THE AGONY! THE ECSTASY! THE AGONY! THE ECSTASY! HUNGRY FOR PAIN! HUNGRY FOR PAIN!

That was one of my obnoxious outgoing voicemail messages for awhile.

They're definitely an act I can appreciate without enjoying whatsoever.

They only have two albums. The Looks is ok, Fist of God is awful. Although if they have a really solid live set that is better than either of their albums, I wouldn't be the one to ask.

Harsh 70s Future or The White House. The one I listen to the most is Clyma Est Mort, but it's not the best place to start.
