There's actually a singular album called Body Talk that combines most of the previous two volumes with new tracks into a 15-track album. That would be the best way to listen to it I think.

Doesn't Harlem only have one album? Edit: they've got two. Hippies is the one I liked and have heard.

    Thanks.

Harlem formed in Tucson apparently. That's all I really know about them.

Leaves Turn Inside You is their masterpiece, but it also isn't really representative of their work up to that point as it's much more expansive and long-form. For their earlier, more abrasive stuff I'd go with New Plastic Ideas.

Oh that sucks. Buzzo from the Melvins mentioned them alongside Throbbing Gristle in an interview I just read, that's why I asked.

Maybe I'm giving them too little credit or am not just that familiar with their catalog. They're definitely nowhere on par with TG.

Whitehouse are incredibly important as far as industrial noise goes. Ultimately they were the first power electronics band. They extremism is totally ludicrous... but just compare it to marquis de sade or georges bataille... you can only really take it seriously within its own internal logic.

either way they are very very serious. i appreciate power electronics for how it has merged in many ways with musique concrete (see Yellow Tears)... it's not terribly interesting music in and of itself though, at least... the sensory overload numbs really quickly. but i guess that's kind of the idea...
