I would love to see her again. That show she did at the Orpheum in 2007 was absolutely astounding.

It says "Let England Shake" in bold letters on the main page. I'm guessing that's the name of her new record. I'm hoping anyway.

I really want to hear "Hook" live once in my life. That song is NASTY.

For me...Long Snake Moan. That song kills.

I've only seen her play her and John Parish collaborative stuff, so I can't wait to see her play a set of her own tunes.

When I saw her, the set was pretty nuts:

    1. To Bring You My Love
    2. Send His Love to Me
    3. When Under Ether
    4. The Devil
    5. White Chalk
    6. Angelene
    7. My Beautiful Leah
    8. Nina In Ecstacy 2
    9. Electric Light
    10. Man Size
    11. Big Exit
    12. Shame
    13. Snake
    14. Who the Fuck
    15. Down by the Water
    16. Grow Grow Grow
    17. The Mountain
    18. Silence
    ENCORE

    1. Rid of Me
    2. Water
    3. The Piano
    4. Desperate Kingdom of Love

Just her solo in a lacy white dress playing guitar or piano.

I know, I'm so jealous. I've seen footage from that tour and she looks so spooky in that white lace dress.

That last album she made with John Parish was bit "experimental" for me. Well, except for the lovely Black Hearted Love; what a fantastic song. Would love to get a moment like this performance of horses in my dreams. Does she play this one much anymore?

I dig this. Creepy as all hell.

    "Take me back to Constantinople..."

    Kinda catchy.

i wonder if the album version will be the same. i'd like it heaps more if she was strumming a guitar instead of an auto-harp. her voice sure is holding up well.

I need to see her as the headliner. I've seen her open for Live & U2 & in both cases she I enjoyed her set more than the headliners. To hear Kamikaze again would do it for me.

I dont think her new album is guitar. I think its on a few different kinds of harps. She said she is focusing on what is going on outside more than internal this time around.

What does that mean? That her content will be more about what's going on in the world instead of personal? Not that her work is ever about herself necessarily.

This is the interview I saw. She says most of her work is personal and that the album's focus is the outside world and what is happening.

    NEW PJ HARVEY ALBUM

We are very pleased to confirm that PJ Harvey's eighth studio album Let England Shake is set to be released on the 14.02.2011 through Island Records.
Recorded in a 19th Century church in Dorset with long time collaborator Flood who co-produced the album with PJ Harvey, John Parish and Mick Harvey. Let England Shake was also mixed by Flood.

The album will be supported by a run of sold out live shows early next year, with dates in Brussels, Berlin, Paris, and Londons Troxy on February 27th and 28th. 2011 will also see Harvey return to the festival-stage, with more details to be announced.

PJ Harvey will perform with a live band which includes Mick Harvey, John Parish and Jean-Marc Butty.

I'm hoping for Coachella, but to me that kinda sounds like she isnt going to tour here again not an extensive tour anyway. I hope not that would really suck. Maybe she is only going to do festivals here.

yeah, i was at that Palladium show too, as well as the Wiltern '04 show....

I couldn't really compare the Orpheum set to those other two though, they were vastly different.

Orpheum was just PJ, solo, with just a guitar or piano, while the others were with a full band

all fantastic in their own right though

Yeah, I saw the tour last year with John Parish, but they didn't play any PJ only songs, so I feel like I still haven't had the true PJ Harvey live experience.

Hopefully, she plays this year at Chella. Where do you think she would play? Middle of the day Coachella stage, or later in the day on the Outdoor stage, or closing out one of the tents?
