DONE. hahaha, that's be too much fun

Bulleit Bourbon is great. I also highly recommend Ridgemont Reserve's 1792, very fair price and my favorite bourbon for the price. Also, Blanton's Bourbon is fantastic as well, a bit more expensive, but well worth it.

And try working your palate into drinking bourbon straight up. On the rocks is perfectly fine, but you get more of the aromas if its straight up

For the first time, in 2011 conflicts will be band-cocktail instead of the usual band-band.

Kahlua is only acceptable in your morning coffee or if you're a seventeen year old girl getting drunk for the first time.

QFT. I try to avoid blanket statements, but in this case it's completely accurate.

My favorite bartender at my favorite bar locally makes all these amazing drinks that I'm in love with. Whenever I go there, I just ask him to make me whatever his newest creation. They're always amazing. For example recently:

-basil, lemongrass, gin, hawaiian ginger simple syrup, soda
    -green tea, lychee, vodka

But in terms of classics, I'm a big fan of sidecars, a basic gin and tonic, or just whiskey on the rocks.

Just a thought, if there is a lineup announcement drinking game like was kind of planned last year, this should be the location of it.

Those sound amazing, Courtney. I'm also very comfortable telling a good bartender to make whatever they feel like making - I just give them a few pointers (no whisky or tequila, not too sweet) and let them do their thing. This is not something I recommend doing at dives, but if you know the bartender's rep and if their bar stock of liquor/extras is quality, you'll get something amazing.

Seconded. I've always wanted to get a campsite beer/cocktail crawl as well. Different campsites specialize in a certain beer or beverage, we draw shitty maps, and for an hour or two on Thursday evening, we begin the crawl.

You can leave the Kahlua out. It's a perfect early morning cocktail for the beginning of a long day of fun.

It would be tough for something like that to actually happen with all of the people who'd eventually flake/get distracted, but it's a great idea.

Exactly! A good bartender views their job as an art and a form of craft. Give them a direction like miscorrestions said (i like bitter, spicy, etc.) and let them do their thing. The bartender also appreciates an interested drinker too
