Machinedrum should be nice. Seen Droog multiple times and can't envision making time to see them in the Heineken Dome.
Modeselektor's latest album is just plain bad. Perhaps they'll sprinkle in some older stuff, maybe some Moderat as well.
He's playing in the Do Lab.
Machinedrum is in the Do-Lab! It's likely because he's touring with SBTRKT.

Guedita's mentioning Machinedrum touring w/ SBTRKT has me wondering, once again, how GV managed to miss out on Caribou. Or Daphni.
GV booked Caribou... but for some, still unknown reason, they pulled out about 2 weeks before the lineup was released.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
That's unfortunate. But it warms my heart a bit to know that they tried.

That reminds me, I have been crazy into the spaced out disco (?) house sound. Just spaced out, slowed house beats in general; I don't know that's "heroin house" or a different sub-genre in general. I think posted in the mnml tech thread about the Marco Ressman VA podcast? But that sort of thing. If other people have recommendations, please pile them the fuck on me.

I do not have any recommendations that cater to that specific sound, however, I do want to come in here and reiterate what I hope I've said elsewhere:
Midland's Placement EP is the absolute shit.
Locked Groove's Rooted also remains my top favorite release of the year so far. Not totally appropriate in the house category, I suppose, but it's a pretty varied 3 track series.
To be honest I'm not very knowledgeable about what's been released in the house world lately. And as much fun as the whole deep house Soul Clap/Hot Creations/ Culprit/who else? That entire sound....I fucking love it and I loved it so much in 2011 but I'm ready to be taken elsewhere.

Have you listened to Errors Have Some Faith in Magic? It's a band so kind of off topic but some of their songs have that spaced out electronic sound. Not sure if this is what you were thinking.
My favorite song off the album, The Knock, isn't on youtube and I can only find this blog with a streaming version of it. Not sure how if there is a way to direct link to the board.

I listened to that Errors album a little while back, and it did nothing for me.

agreed overall the album only has 2-3 standout tracks but they kind of reminded me of the Ambalance tracks, especially The Knock.
Hmm. Yeah; full disclose, I only listened to the first Errors youtube you posted and really didn't like it at all. I will absolutely track down "The Knock" and check it out though.
I guess I don't really even know what I'm looking for when it comes to something similar to Ambalance. I just started playing Matthew Dear's Headcage EP because I thought it would be what I was looking for but it isn't at all.

I have a feeling Errors is probably more pop then what both of you are looking for but that's all I got for now
It got advertised in another thread as being more post-rock than anything, and going in with those kind of expectations it just came off as cheesy overall to me.

No worriesIt's almost as if the Ambalance EP moves into a more IDM territory of sound? I don't know. The last song on the EP goes down to 88 BPM which is almost borderline absurd.

I am listening to Kollektiv Turmstrasse's Rebellion Der Traumer which I suppose isn't really narc or heroin house at all but is a nice down-tempo sort of way to end....my night at 4:30. I will most definitely check out Fort Romeau. I am depressingly behind in terms of trying to listen to new releases.

Good rec TallGuy, I like what I've heard so far. Going to have to check that out more when I'm not so sleep deprived.
Just listened to Jacques Greene's Concealer EP earlier tonight. I thought it was good. The first song, which sounds like an R&B song, was interesting but I still enjoyed it.
Chez Damier's RA.305 podcast is out-fucking-standing.
Definitely get that:

Already on it
Yeah that Fort Romeau album is pretty much all I've been bumping this week. So dope. Also I know I'm very late to this but I just really listened to Motor City Drum Ensemble outside of the context of some mixes I've heard and damn. That guy is awesome. Definitely impulse bought a couple of his records yesterday ^_^
Especially like this track:
Mmmm....
Have any of you guys gotten the new album by Edward on Offermann's White Label? Really solid release. Very good for fans of Moomin and the like.
edit: couldn't find any youtube videos but here's the link announcing the release:
