I bet that will be fun. I really want to make it to a Lee Burridge extended set someday.

I think that track is technically house, at least the type of house music that has become really prevalent out of the UK in the last year or so -- bass house/UK Bass, essentially.
And if you like that, Greg, I recommend checking out other releases by Joy Orbison, Boddika, Girl Unit, Ramadanman/Pearson Sound, Midland, George Fitzgerald, Ben UFO DJ sets....
Who else would ya'll recommend along those lines?

I'd say check out Kingdom and Nguzunguzu too. The Night Slugs Allstars comp. is really good. Maybe check out Zomby too?
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
That reminds me, I have the Nguzunguzu Warm Pulse EP and need to listen to it.

OH and the Hyperdub compilation from 2009 is still one of my go to albums for UK bass. It's called 5: Five Years of Hyperdub
Egyptrixx is cool too.
and Hyetal.
I just keep thinking of others

I felt the same way about their first EP too, and I had such high expectations, but definitely check out that mix.

went to the last one in June.... it was fucking sexy! Crowd was a bit obnoxious, but we had a big group of friends so it made it worth while.
Not sure how good either of these mixes are, but im posting the link here so i can dwnload them when i get home from work - http://www.thefader.com/2012/07/12/f...azine+Posts%29
its two seperate mixes, one from Ron Morelli and one from Steve Summers. Feed back on either of these artists would be appreciated as im unfamiliar w/ both.
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
Ron Morelli is a fantastic DJ by all accounts (his recent BIS mix is silly good) and I quite enjoy Summers' production work.
L.I.E.S. (their label) is a favorite of mine atm. They'll be doing a showcase of sorts in LA on 8/18.
Oh, it depends where you summer. :P
Here in SF where summer means gray skies, chilly nights, and banks of fog enveloping you and obscuring everything that's further than a few hundred feet away....
I mostly listen to darker, less groovy stuff until I go on vacation.
Outer Richmond problems![]()
Warm vibes aplenty. Not brand spanking new but still deadly.

That Jeremy Glenn track is ace.
Speaking of not new, just heard this recently and fell in love:
waka waka
^ Good stuff.
dig this vocal
I finally got around to listening to the ssg Scuba + John Osborn mix...so fucking good and well layered. Was it Patrick who was asking for sounds of summer recommendations? That's mine for sure. I laid out by my pool reading to it and then finished it off by cooking summer veggies from my mom's garden.

I like how every promoter in Southern California's bookings have become like a shitty mimicry of the Culprit Sessions?
Like I know the whole Crosstown Rebels/Hot Creations shit is hot right now, but can I get some fucking variety please.
I wish I could find the Unbroken Dub mix of this track that's also on this ep, SO GOOD
all the tracks on this one are doing it for me too (Vakula remix is also ace)
and also everyone should buy this ep, I almost passed since it was 20$ @ amoeba but its seriously good

^ Yea, I actually REALLY dig that style of music (Crosstown, Hot Creations, etc) but it's pretty bad when even I'm skimming the entire season of Culprit sessions, etc, and wouldn't be interested in any of them.
scuba and machinedrum will be at los globes on august 2nd
