I think that track is technically house, at least the type of house music that has become really prevalent out of the UK in the last year or so -- bass house/UK Bass, essentially.

And if you like that, Greg, I recommend checking out other releases by Joy Orbison, Boddika, Girl Unit, Ramadanman/Pearson Sound, Midland, George Fitzgerald, Ben UFO DJ sets....

Who else would ya'll recommend along those lines?

I'd say check out Kingdom and Nguzunguzu too. The Night Slugs Allstars comp. is really good. Maybe check out Zomby too?

went to the last one in June.... it was fucking sexy! Crowd was a bit obnoxious, but we had a big group of friends so it made it worth while.

Ron Morelli is a fantastic DJ by all accounts (his recent BIS mix is silly good) and I quite enjoy Summers' production work.

L.I.E.S. (their label) is a favorite of mine atm. They'll be doing a showcase of sorts in LA on 8/18.

Here in SF where summer means gray skies, chilly nights, and banks of fog enveloping you and obscuring everything that's further than a few hundred feet away....
I mostly listen to darker, less groovy stuff until I go on vacation.

Amen. It's tiresome. Bottom line is they want a crowd, and unlike us, people are still discovering this sound and talking about. Frankly, I think that whole sound is pretty boring but we are in the minority.
