Volunteer Hour Requirements

This year, we are offering 3 levels of volunteer commitment with 3 levels of discount tickets. You will select which level of commitment you are interested in on the application form.

Free Ticket
20 hours before and during the week of the festival

$40 Ticket
16 hours during the week of the festival

$80 Ticket
12 hours during the week of the festival

what do you think they'll be offering this year? did anyone volunteer last year?

I've heard volunteering is a blast. I did it at a similar smaller summer festival and it's not a chore at all. I recommend it.

you don't have to be there before the festival. 20 hours (or less) can be handled within the timeframes of the festival hours.

I think I'm gonna have to do the 20 hour option - I think it would be fun to get a chunk of that time in before the fest (set up, promote, etc...) That would be rad actually.

This is still lineup dependent for me, but what that means is that there needs to be at least a handful of artist I'm completely stoked for. I know overall the music will be great and the company will be awesome. I just feel like doing something different every year and DEMF is that weekend..... hmmm well I am doing dB this year so maybe that will be my new fest.

The street team (promotion, fliers, posters, etc) is a separate volunteer opportunity. (the link USED to be on that is at the bottom of the LIB page (definitely harder to get into, since you only need two or three per big city, except for LA)). That opportunity may or may not come up again. Probably a lot of carry over of street teamers from last year.

The volunteer app. is for set up, tasks during, and break down.

She's just keeping a foot in both camps. And if you take a second to look at the past lineups you'll see it's going to be good regardless. Maybe not good enough for y'all to fly from Cali, but good nonetheless.

Does the initial LiB lineup include the majority of artists playing that weekend or does it come in stages?

ps: Pantha at lightning in a bottle would make me shit myself; that's the last artist I'd expect to see there, but then again...lib is magical and delicious.. who knows
