I just picked up a ticket to see them at Metro in Chicago Sunday November 25. I didn't even realize they were playing there and i've had this Chicago trip planned for a while now.

I love that shit!
RagePatton can do a better write up than me so I'll just say that their show in Vancouver was phenomenal.
So I am going to NYC this weekend.. I have meetings there next week and the Cardinals are playing the Jets so I'm going to that with some buddies on Sunday..
and I just discovered yesterday that Titus are playing Webster Hall on Sunday night. oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Saw them in Chicago this past Sunday night. A slightly shorter show than the Crescent Ballroom gig in Phoenix but the Metro was almost sold out so about 1000 people there and what an awesome crowd. Great energy from the fans and the band. I would say 70% of the floor was moshing, dancing and singing along together. The other 30% were enjoying it in their own way. They played about 85 minutes with no encores and the people were begging for more and it was a Sunday night. On the way out I was listening ot people talk and so many similiar thoughts. People were really buzzing about how they hadn't had that much fun at a show in a decade. Tons of comparisons to 90's rock concerts where people weren't "too frightened to move". This band really brings people to life and there is no way you go to this show and leave without feeling great about what you just saw.
I'm good for a couple of months now and i'm glad I got squeeze that gig in. I hadn't been to the Metro since the 90's but back then I had seen many of my most memorable shows there. It hold just over 1000 so it's the place to play on your way up. Weezer Blue album tour, Beck Odelay Tour, Hole Live Through This, Prodigy Fat of the Land, Veruca Salt American Thighs. Anyway. Great show at a great venue that brought back a lot of memories.
I think that last night's show may actually have been better than Austin. They had more time and could loosen up and really put on the show they wanted. Got "I Am the Electric Man" and "Do You Love Me" and an awesome Hampton Roads.
Not to mention a "Brown Sugar" cover for the encore featuring Patrick imitating the Mick Jagger strut. Too good.
Set your DVRs for Carson Daly tonight, most likely footage from the LA El Rey show.

^looking forward to that. I regret seeing Japandroids instead of Titus again. They were so fucking awesome when I saw them in October. Hoping they make it back out again soon (Coachella maybe?).
