    Default (Mostly) complete concert history

As per Kreutz's suggestion, I'm starting a thread with my list of almost every concert I've attended. I'm lacking 5 folk festivals, 6 blues festivals, 3 Jazz festivals and two local punk festivals, because I can't remember who played most of them (excepting Arlo Guthrie and High Life, but I don't remember when they played) and I'm sure I'm missing one or two early concerts, but this is mostly there.

That was actually a procrastination project that I started two years ago. It took me a week of going thru old ticket stubs, searching online to find openers, venues and dates, and probing the depths of my (admittedly very good) memory.

yeah, I am just thinking about how I am going to go about doing this. right now I am undertaking a the task of properly tagging all of my music (artwork included) so that everything is consistent as far as genre, etc goes. I am going to put the tagging project on hold though to do this instead.

Nope. Coachella tickets always go on sale around my birthday, so i get those for my birthday every year. Early shows were mostly attended with my parents (including SOAD, Metallica) or other family (Warped Tour, Incubus, et al. until 2004). From 2004-mid 2006, I paid for most of the shows myself. Meaning, I worked a ton, in addition to school, to finance these. Then I started working for Campus Events and UCLA radio, which meant I started getting connections throughout the venue world, and I now pay for quite a few less shows. Still, I buy tickets to a good amount. If the RIAA ever sues me, it would be ridiculous, because look how much money I pump into the music industry. Basically.

Fuck you for seeing the Libertines. I forget why I missed them, but it was not a good excuse in retrospect.

That was a fun show. It was my first concert after moving to LA, and I went there thinking I would just walk back afterwards. Dumb idea, but I met some guys from UCLA who gave me a ride back, and we've been good friends ever since.

I wish I could remember that Raffi show. My mom tells me that they took me for my first birthday, so it was sometime in february of 1987, I would guess in Sacramento. She said I clapped and was happy through the whole thing. I can only imagine.

I saw Bob Reid and Linda Arnold a lot when I was a kid. I got into concert-going real young. I even sang with Bob Reid. I'm not on any of his albums but I did help record the theme song for a PBS tv show he did. I am famous.

This thread has really gotten me thinking. I am going to scavange around and find all my stubs, and use the best of my memory abilities to do this. My list will vastly pale in comparisson and I probably wont have even half as many as Bmack had in 07. Oh well though.
I will do this tomorrow. Or, more likely tonight. When I am officialy bored of studying.

I guess technicaly my first concert was Sharron, Lois and Brahm. It was at the Pacific Coliseum (a stadium in Vancouver) I got to go onstage and dance with the Elephant. My parents said I had a blast. I also got to see Fred Penner. I wish I could remember those...

I can't even remember what I did last week much less that many details from so long ago. And you don't get ticket stubs for most clubs shows, no?

Exactly. That made it difficult, but quite a few venues log their past shows. The wiltern used to have a complete list online, but now that they don't have a website, that's kaput.

I saw this band at Jerry's Pizza in Bakersfield sometime in 1997 or 1998. I have no possible way of finding dates or venues or shows for all the stuff I saw while living in the Central Valley.

supre, I am going to every radiohead show in europe and every one in the US on this tour. I am then going to go back in time and go to every radiohead show there ever was. After I have seen every radiohead show ever played I am going to go back two years before you were born and give your mom a historectomy and your dad a vasectomy. douche.

I might not say jack shit, but I will say, "Surely you have something better to do with your time than see Radiohead a dozen times. Go read a book."

Supre, why would you even bother trying to measure dicks when you know Ron is lying in wait, spending the next three days typing up just the concerts he can remember?
