Here's his new single. Definitely on the dream pop continuum.
I see. Well, hopefully Atlas Sound expands their tour...
EDIT* Does Bradford have a backing band for his Atlas Sound shows? Or is it just him?

I think the latter scenario is the current setup. Will let you know Sunday morning. Psyched.
I REALLY hope it's not a full band, although it wouldn't surprise me with how full band-y the new album is. But yeah, hopefully the setup he had for Moog Fest is what he brings. Seeing him on Friday, and I can't fucking wait.

full band on the first tour was my favorite set up.
Bradford Cox did an interview with Pitchfork last November and he said he's already began the writing process for the new Deerhunter album.
Also, not long ago, Lotus Plaza covered Cut Copy's "Where I'm Going" which I thought was really great.
When is Cox *not* writing?! Fucking prolific.
These are the openers for the SF Atlas Sound show. Can anyone provide any intel? Having dinner with a group beforehand and want to know if/when to cut out of that. Thanks.
Electric Flower and Seventeen Evergreen and Carnivores and Frank Broyles
Didn't get there in time for Frank Broyles but NMH gave him a good review, saw Carnivores and they were pretty good. Nothing I'd skip out on a nice dinner beforehand for, though.

It in hindsight was awesome, in the moment it was not so much. I went to see the music not some asshole request a stupid song knowing Bradford would get pissed and do something crazy. Looking back now I can laugh, at the time it felt forced, there was honestly a couple times I wondered if the guy was planted there.

There were moments during this that my friends and I were like...okay, this feels forced. It was cool for a bit, but I would have rather had the 3-4 extra songs. The set, to that point, was fucking marvellous.
Uh, what?

Haha I know, it just seems a bit bizarre, even for Bradford.
