This is slowly creeping into my most-anticipated shows of the year. Ridiculous, considering it'll be my 9th Deerhunter show.

I delivered 3 Hurt points between Zhi Peng’s henchman’s eyes.

You are right. Revival is pretty great. Don't know how I missed that. I listened to it again after I realized I was missing out on Revival... and my opinion on the rest of the album is pretty much the same.

Rolling Stone needs to do stick with what they do best, i.e. sucking off U2 and Bruce Springsteen.

An excerpt from their Halcyon Digest review in the newest issue:

"Is there anyone who wants to see the sun go down?" asks singer Brandon Cox in "Memory Boy."

I really wanted to see them this tour, but Mark Lannegan & Isobell Cambell are playing a better venue and I've never seen them. Oh LCD and Hot Chip is the same night as well

It's been there from the beginning.. the weak Britpop headliners Friday; the rumors that DP was gonna play, that it was a done deal, then all of a sudden 'oops, no, not gonna happen'; and now the new album. It's all so obvious.

Yeah, the Fonda show is going to be so good. I'm hoping to finish my paper this week so that I can just edit next week and not worry about doing that show the night before it's due.

Thinking back, Fuck Yeah Fest was most likely the only time I heard it out of the 8 shows I've seen.

"Fluorescent Grey" is my favorite Deerhunter song and they closed with it last night. They reworked it so it was kind of slow and creepy and amazing. When they break into the noisy part it was the greatest catharsis. Really fucking great show over all. Mostly stuff from the new one and Microcastle. Bradford is the oddest frontman but I think it's great that he gets to be a rock star. The new stuff sounded considerably less sleepy live and is very good. If you're a fan, get thee to your local show when they come through.

Flourescent Grey was on the setlist for Toronto but they played "Wash Off" instead.

I guess it's possible. I'm potentially going to Napa that day with the folks (if I finish writing my paper) but just for the day, so I might make it back to the bay in time to see that. I just REALLY want to catch Real Estate, since I've already got my Deerhunter ticket for LA.

Edit: I'll probably do whatever Drew does here.

My boyfriend has a ticket. Two actually, I'm going to decide whether or not to go to that or the Apples in Stereo at the last minute. So you won't be totally solo if you decide to go.

Have they been covering "30 Century Man" lately? Because it totally surprised me and I loved it, and I got the whole thing on video. will post soon.
