this is the best show on TV and this season is better than the last... Nucky owning that lobster was my favorite part thus far but everything is great. Check out the "making of" if you haven't, some of the visual effects are really amazing.
The dude who plays Harrow is fucking AMAZING. It's a really interesting character in the first place but he fucking nails it... When he was in the woods I was like NO WAIT DON'T DO IT and I'm really glad he didn't.

the scalping was crazy. i love jimmy.
what is going on with maragret's family situation? maybe i'm remembering wrong, but didn't we see an immigration photo that van halden (sp?) had of her? now she has a different name & came as a child? what's going on there?
i just got caught up today on the past few episodes, and i loved when jimmy's mom slapped the shit out of the commadore.
This show has some great acting going on. I really dig it. The only thing that is keeping me from absolutely loving it is that I don't really buy Steve Buscemi as that type of guy. He's great when he freaks out like he did in that last ep, but there's just something unnatural about him being a suave, savvy politician type
This season is kicking major ass. I like the Owen Slater character....definitely needs to be more of him. Eli smashing that dude's head was crazy to watch. That whole episode was intense. Nucky basically telling Eli to go fuck himself was unexpected. I could go on forever. Can't wait for the new episode.

It's not the character, it's how Buscemi plays him. His style/look is not meant to play the character he acts as. I hate type casting (see denzel washington), but Buscemi is not meant to be this type of guy. I can't buy it. A fan otherwise, just not in this case.
But like I said, when he goes crazy and fights his brother, I loved it. It was perfect. But having people eat from his hand and women lust for him? Nuh uh, doesn't work.
Oh, Jimmy... you just pissed of the butcher.
Seriously, Manny won the badass of the night award for dispatching that assassin pretty quick, and with a shotgun blast to the shoulder too! I'm ready to see some revenge, Philly-style.
This season has so much more drama than the last. I'm really into it, but i swear every episode introduces incest, polio, someone dying, or a new love affair.
Also, what's up with Jimmy and his MOM? When she said "I used to kiss his little ??? before he went to sleep."
So glad to see Richard get some play this week!
He deserves it. Look at him...Yum.
you're wondering if that guy is loyal?
...and finally we get to first significant character death of the season... I'm guessing they'll be a least one more before the end of the season.
No matter what era it is, society is fucked up.
Crazy ending last night
They're laying it on thick with the whole Oedipus thing, which I suppose they've been doing for a while. I've enjoyed the season so far, though.

Wow what a episode!
That lady is fucked up in the head.
Not a blatant recreation, but yeah elements of it.
Damn this show is good.
Also Van Alden was so ill that episode.
I couldnt really imagine a more awkward scene to watch with your mom.
Finally we know why he took off from Princeton to join the Army--slept with mom, beat the shit out of professor, knocked up a newfound acquaintance. I'd say those would be reasons enough to run off into the sunset.
Really loved those flashbacks of him at college in his lit class. Michael Pitt is such a good actor (and very goodlooking, I might add) and this role especially is just good stuff for him.
On another note: Anyone ever seen the film with him and Steve Buscemi called Delirious? It's a good movie and I remember watching it a couple of years ago and thinking 'Why isn't this kid in bigger things yet? He is really magnetic'. And here he is in this critically acclaimed show now. Satisfying.
