Gavin still tours and probably still has a small but loyal following. Having them play the same year/day as No Doubt would help with some overlap. I belive one or two of the former BUSH band members have no interest in the music biz or playing live.

IMO, I don't think Steven Adler could play a full gig even if he got his body/brain in top shape.

My oddball choice would be THE DOORS with all 3 band members playing their first public show together in nearly 40 years!!! The 3 toured around 1972 without Jim, then did RRHOF induction in the 90's and Storytellers in 2001. AFAIK, the keyboard player and drummer haven't been in the same room together in a decade.

Robby Kreiger and Ray Manzarek did those tours around 2002-2005, then under "Riders on the Storm" for a couple years and are curently touring together under their own names.

Drummer John Densmore and the Morrison estate did not give permission for use of the "Doors" name and successfully sued for several million.

as far as kings of leon and arcade fire, saw them both in 2007, eh (just saw them gain last year at outsidelands and their own show at the shrine in l.a., respectively). i also saw the strokes and janelle monáe (i don't mind repeating empire of the sun, they were sunday's best performance!!!).

kanye, eh... i'm sure it'll be a spectacle considering his ego and the fact that he's closing the festival. i hope pj harvey plays outdoor theater.

last time i looked at this thread i started a few years ago was january of 2011 after that year's line-up was announced. i somewhat started this thread with the off chance that coachella browses the forum looking for acts.

since 2011 and 2012, a few acts got taken off the roster, namely: pj harvey, empire of the sun, godspeed you! black emperor, jeff mangum (i was genuinely happy for all the people that requested him or neutral milk hotel even if i was not familiar with his music).

having said that, here are the acts that got the most votes as i quickly tallied them up:
