since dylan is too lazy to make his own thread, i will be his secretary. he would like to discuss awesome places to eat and drink in arizona. GO!
Thee Pitts Again. Sophmore year of college my roommates and I decided to go on a late night friday after just watching it on Diners Drive Ins and Dives. 5 blunts later we had amazing barbeque.
Wild Tuna sushi on 7th Street and Thunderbird is my favorite sushi, they have a 20% off your entire ticket for happy hour before 6 and they have this arachnophobia roll that is FABULOUS!!!
Where's the cheapest place to buy 4 Loko in the Greater Phoenix Area?

Your nearest liquor store?
for a moment I thought dylan was opening a restaurant.
Chelsea's Kitchen is one of my favs. It's a special occasion place though.
Mi Nidito in Tucson
Bobo's in Tucson
Postino's Wine Bar (worth it for the bruchetta alone)
Cibo's
Los Dos Molinos
The original Garcias
Med Fresh
Panchos on South Central and Ah-So's.
With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Love los dos because of the spice but I haven't been there in over 5 years.
As a fatty I would like to recommend the best buffet I have been to in the valley.
Crazy Buffet on Elliot and Priest
Dinner and weekends it's $12.99 and they have just added a mongolian bbq. They also have a sushi bar, crab legs, and your standard buffet selections. Another reason they are not your typical buffet is the food always tastes fresh and they are constantly replenishing, nothing sitting under lights for 4 hours at a time. The place is clean and consistantly busy. Easily the best quality of any other buffet I have been to in the state.
I might have to check that out Fax, I am with Ivy on the buffet worries but I love crab legs and can't stand the idea of spending $30 for 2 legs. Nick and I hit the buffet out at Fort McDowell Casino at least once a month. We have tried to go when it is $9.99 but the wait is ridiculous so we wait till Sunday, it is $5 more but there is no wait and they have prime rib on the buffet. I only eat the crab legs and prime rib though, I leave the rest for other people to touch.
Pizza Bianco!!

For 2011
i still haven't been to pizzeria bianco; i was talking about it the other night. i need to just get a group together and go. i see they re-open today after their summer break. maybe i'll call in a reservation and find people to go later. i also need to use my morton's gift card. i don't have enough to cover a meal for two though, so first i need money to do all these things lol.
I will say to their credit that the cooks stay in the back and cook. They have one person who works the sushi bar and another who works the mongolian bbq station and maybe a 2 in the back cooking up the rest at most. This place is at the very least above average and we don't bother with any other buffets ever.
I have never been to Bianco either.
La Pinata at 19th Ave and Osborn.
upcoming
Bjork doing Biophilia, 6/2 Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, CA

Richardson's is being rebuilt and I think they are reopening soon.
My 2 favorite lunch places downtown:
Carolina's on Mojave
Tammie Coe Bakery on Roosevelt (for the superb MJ Bread Sandwiches)
Starting to dig the Main Ingredient as well.

Mary Coyle is pretty goddamn great for homemade ice cream. On 7th Ave between Bethany and Camelback.
Chino Bandido
Chinese-Mexican fusion, phenomnomnomenal.
There's one in north Phoenix and a newer one in Chandler. The spicy stuff is spicy so be careful, but the cool thing is you can taste test any and everything on the menu before ordering. The jerk fried rice and black beans are great and I truly haven't had anything bad there yet.
