The Strokes aren't headliners anyway.
Before you say it, headlining OSL doesn't mean you can headline Coachella.

I have never seen the Strokes rise above mediocre in a live setting.

The Strokes have announced plans for a New York homecoming show this weekend.
The five-piece will perform a special invite-only gig at New York's Metropolitan Opera House to mark Tommy Hilfiger's 25th anniversary this Sunday (September 12), alongside a DJ set from Paul Sevigny.
The band, who headlined the Isle Of Wight festival this year, are currently working on material for the follow-up to their 2006 album 'First Impressions Of Earth'.
Frontman Julian Casablancas has scheduled a release date for March 11 for their fourth studio LP.

I love The Strokes and we're going to get them next year. And what does it matter if they headline or not?

The only reason this doesn't happen is either one of the bands or GV decide not to agree to it. They both are available, didn't perform
last year and have a fan base interested in seeing them. I only hope the Flaming Lips perform so we can get a great Arcade Fire quote.
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case....
I think The Strokes will play next year but they will not headline.

I could see The Strokes subheadlining for Arcade next year.

Hmm. In retrospect, I think maybe the avatar makes me sound more like a douche than I intend.
