Liking things is so 2010
This doesn't bother me.
Shocker: Walking Dead Showrunner Steps Downhttp://www.imdb.com/news/ni13322652/Mere days after his scoop-filled trip to Comic-Con, The Walking Dead‘s Frank Darabont has stepped down as showrunner.
According to our sister site Deadline.com, the show’s creator/executive producer/director has decided to vacate his post on the critically acclaimed series, which is currently in production on its second season. The reason, per Deadline, is that “Darabont hails from the feature world and… never quite adjusted to the daily grind of producing a TV series.” There’s talk Darabont may stay on in some capacity, perhaps as a consultant.
http://www.toplessrobot.com/2011/07/...lking_dead.phpFrank Darabont Walks Away from the Walking Dead
Just days after he appeared on The Walking Dead's SDCC panel, director and showrunner Frank Darabont has apparently stepped down from AMC's hit show. The reasoning, people feel, is that as a movie director Darabont was unused to the grind of a TV series, and since AMC upped The Walking Dead's season 2 episode count to 13 from 6, that could surely have played a factor. Now, two things before you freak out: 1) Darabont may still continue with the show in some capacity, and 2) yes, Darabont directed the amazing pilot, but he was still in charge of the show during those less-amazing later episodes, so maybe this is a good thing. At any rate, comic creator Robert Kirkman is still working on the show, so it's not like it lost its sole champion or anything. Let's just see how season 2 shakes out after its October 18th premiere, and then we can lose our shit as needed.
Kirkman is more important than Darabont, so im not too worried.
"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."

i bought the Walking Dead compendium, soon after finishing that i bought Books 5 and 6. I just went through Volume 13 yesterday and will be on my way to buy Volume 14 soon. I may have to start buying the single issues after that..
yeah...this shit is addicting.
the comic is brutal! there are several WTF and OMG moments. i really doubt the TV series will be able to capture them right.
Season 2 will have a two month break in the middle of it. The first 7 episodes will go from Oct 16th to Nov 27th. The last 6 episodes will start on Feb 12th. I wonder if the break is because AMC thinks people won't want to watch zombies during the holidays, or if it has anything to do with Darabont's departure?
You're right how dare me, I'll go in to my punishment box now
AMC announced today Talking Dead, the network's first live after-show that serves as a platform for discussion for AMC's series, The Walking Dead. The half-hour episodes are produced by Michael Davies' Embassy Row and are hosted by Chris Hardwick (Nerdist; G4). Talking Dead" premieres immediately following the encore presentation of The Walking Dead on Sun., Oct. 16. Then beginning on Fri., Nov. 4 the series follows The Walking Dead's encore presentation at 11 PM | 10C.
Talking Dead features Hardwick spending time with fans, actors, producers and tv enthusiasts, recapping that most recent Dead episode, and taking questions and comments from viewers. Fans may continue to engage with the after-show following the on-air conclusion, online, at amctv.com for more conversations, questions and trivia.
"As an ENORMOUS fan of both The Walking Dead comic and television show, I pretty much begged for this job. I'm fairly certain I slobbered on the phone while doing it. Dissecting the moves of Rick Grimes and the remaining survivors after every episode is something I would be doing with my friends anyway, so the fact that AMC is actually paying to do so is a bonus," said Hardwick. "This half-hour after-show gives fans the opportunity to nerd out about the story in a very public forum: what they like, what they don't like, or what questions they may have. Additionally, it will better inform viewers on making intelligent decisions when faced with the zombie apocalypse, which will probably happen sooner or later."
"Fans of The Walking Dead are incredibly engaged with every aspect of the show. They tweet, blog, and post comments in very large numbers, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to interact with the show in a way that they don't currently have — a kind of live water cooler," said Joel Stillerman, AMC's SVP of original programming, production and digital content. "And, we knew we needed a great host, and are thrilled to have Chris Hardwick on board. He is genuinely knowledgeable about the genre, and truly entertaining."

Welp, since I read the comic I definitely saw that ending coming. Gonna try to avoid the AMC previews from here on out. They give away far too much. I really enjoyed the episode overall though.
Also, I'm going to guess that Merle has Sophia.
EDIT* I also wouldn't be surprised if Merle became turned out to be the Governor.
Todays lesson... Always have a screwdriver handy.
You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.
It's that tad bit of Crazy that keeps me Sane...
