I must say I really didn't like Carl in the second season but he's shown to be quite the little bad-ass in season 3. Great episode tonight, gonna watch it a few more times!!

Rick has lost it. Kevin Smith said the show was quickly turning into the Walking Glen and I am starting to agree!

I also like that the Talking Dead is a full hour now.

that thought definitely seemed to cross his mind, but I think Kevin had a good point that it was his first chance to breathe since Lori's death and the real world just caught up to him.

honestly though, the look in his eye, seemed like a continuation of the walker stomach stabbing. the realization that all this is on him, coupled with some sort of idea that he's fucking losing it.

can we just agree rick is a terrible leader and should give up reigns? carl will make better decisions at this point.

not a great episode, but i think it will lead us to better things. you know daryl and merle will make it back soon, hopefully merle cools his shit.

kudos to glen and hershel for telling rick his wrong.

How many times did they tell Merle to shut up in the first 3 minutes of the show?

I think Rick is going to bang the little blonde girl, the one that should bang Carl. There was an odd kiss and she is taking care of the baby, I wonder if she is trying to replace his wife.

eventually she's going to realize (if she didn't at the end of sunday's ep) that he's a fucking nut nut. carl is the strongest male in the show at this point.

Yeah, wtf was that kiss about. It was innocent enough, but the way they looked at eachother was a bit weird.

And Rick needs to pull his shit together and Michonne needs to start talking to people and get off her high horse.

And that Andrea speech (plus the cheesy as fuck hugging the towns people did after it) was soo bad.

YES. The townspeople in this show are THE WORST. Always aimlessly wondering around woodbury and hamming it up every chance they get. Couldn't pay attention to anything else besides the cheesy townspeople during the deathmatch scene - soooo bad.

Yeah the townspeople were just caricatures in that episode.

And another thing. Woodbury is probably the best thing to happen for humans in the area these people are in.
Aside from it being run by a psycho, the place is perfect. Rick and people should take over that shit or something.

And while Michonne was right to be suspicious about the govorner, why the hell was she not relieved she was in a secure place with other people at all?

    gah!

And ANOTHER thing. The WORLD WAR Z movie looks like it's going to be absolute shit.
Why they are totally ignoring the book it is based on and the format is beyond me.
The book would have been better as an HBO mini-series lasting 10 to 13 episodes.

I enjoyed this episode. Splits the story into 3 (Prison, Woodbury, and Merle/Daryl) which should be a lot more exciting than when all of the characters on the show hung around the same place for a whole season...

I was under the impression rick would be taking over Woodbury at the end of the half season. He doesn't know how useless most of the people there really
Love how the gov. Is like, 'hey come live in this utopia, have a barbecue', then completely flips the script because he fucked up.

this isn't really spoilery or anything but I'll mark it as a spoiler since it contains some minor comic book details and some speculation, but during the talking dead, it was mentioned that Tyrese was Rick's right hand man and that in the TV version, Daryl fulfilled that role and no one really knows how that part of the story will progress. it seems we're at a bit of a crossroads and that the story can go one of two directions with either Daryl coming back to Rick's group or him being replaced by Tyrese. is there a scenario that can happen that both Daryl and Tyrese stick around the group? or are we in a position where one of them has to go (in one way or another). I wonder if that has to do with Daryl going with Merle?

Or if that same someone killed his walker daughter/whole reason for the towns existance so he could try to find a "cure" for her and go back to the way things were before. He has no reason to give a shit about anything at this point.

I can't decide if him no longer having his daughter to protect/live for makes him a more or less dangerous character.

    We shall see.

I think it makes him MUCH worse. he was almost portrayed as a good guy until the mid season finale and especially the mid season premiere. that guy is really sinister now.
