I'm really hoping Carl loses his virginity this season. The guy needs a little joy in his life.

He shot his mom in the head, the guy deserves some ass.
It does seem creepy, but yes Carl is way past any kid at his age in a normal society. Such is the life of a post apocalyptic tween. And not like they havent been sniffing around it with his crush/flirtation with maggie's sister.

great episode! I'm really looking forward to the confrontation with Rick's group and the Governor's group and the reunion of Merle and Darrel next week. That should be as good a place as any to leave off for the mid-season finale but I expect a pretty major cliffhanger. Carol being back was nice and it looks like she'll be taking care of Judith, which makes a lot of sense.
The Governor is officially an ass after that stuff with Maggie, but Glenn was a bad ass! Merle wanting to kill him because Glenn pissed him off, was great.
[SPOILER] from the extended look aired during the Talking Dead: I can't wait for Michonne to meet Penny! [END]
For some reason, I had high hopes with the scientist guy's expireiment with Mr Coleman and thought it would work.
Why do I have the feeling Merle is going to take the "eye for an eye" approach with Rick when they meet up for the finale next week?
"BUT IT'S CALLED CALL AND OATES YOU NO FUN IDIOT"- Drinkey, standing up for Rich Girls everywhere
^because I think that's pretty much Merle's modus operandi. he's even said something about wanting to "bury the hatchet" with T-Dog.
Indeed. I even think the sound of that hatchet coming down and then a black screen would be a crazy way to wrap up this half season...

Another great episode. The sneak peak on Talking Dead looks like it's going to be awesome!
The only thing that annoyed me was Michones attitude at the beginning. "I didn't ask for you're help." This bitch...
You showed up with baby formula hoping to find people.
Also, even while at Woodbury, why did she never changed clothes? Does she have another outfit? It's like that same outfit is symbiotically attached to her like Venom.
And she was covered with zombie guts, but still has the same shit on when they head out.
*nit picking*

leather clothing is ideal for the apocalypse.
Major LOL to the dude hiding under the covers in the cabin. This show is pretty dumb but I just can't stop watching.

Exactly what I thought. It got across the point that he his a manipulative asshole using a mix of fear and charm to keep rule over his small kingdom, but I have seen much more convincing and (fucking scary) "threatened rape" scenes in many other movies or shows. Having him pull down her pants instead of taking off her top would have been a far more threatening way to go about things. They obviously didnt push that as far as they could have to let the cat out of the bag that, hey in case you hadn't figured it out (andrea...), the Govenor is not a good guy.
Guess we'll see what other evils he'll dole out when it comes time to battle Rick & Co.

the governor's character is way more interesting with him not violating Maggie. raping her would somehow be gauche. That's not what he was after, his designs are more complicated.
So no, he would not have done more on HBO. If he did it'd be a worse show.
He raped her in the comic.
Well that makes him a shittier character then.
maggie called his bluff on the rape thing, then caved when he threatened to kill glenn. doesn't make sense to me.

How does that not make sense to you?
It was Michonne that was raped in the comic.
Daaaaaamn, that fight between Michonne & the Governor was fantastic. I worried about how they could get both of them out of it alive and Andrea's intervention made sense. (Though I was concerned she'd be stupid enough to actually shoot Michonne.) What didn't was how the Governor knew who Darryl was. The only people in the town who could have identified him as Merle's brother would have been Merle and Andrea, and it was a surprise for both of them when Darryl was trotted out. Unless Darryl got uncharacteristically chatty and gave up his name when he was captured, the way his reunion with Merle went down was a cheat.
TYREESE HAS JOINED THE SHOW!!!! One of my favorite characters from the comics, and he is being played by Cutty from The Wire who truly is a great actor. I thought it was an excellent episode. Now we have to wait a while until the second half of the season...
wow, that was pretty intense. until february...
Great episode. That Michone/Gov fight was intense!
I kept hoping Andrea would see Rick and co. while they were still there.
And yay, Talking Dead will switch to an hour format when the show comes back.
Btw, the last one with Yvette Nicole Brown and CM Punk were great guests.
