Weren't there supposed to be two shows? I'm out of town Sunday until the evening and I'll be super jetlagged. What happened to that second show? (Think it was supposed to be the 4th?)

No, just one show. I don't even think they sold out the currently scheduled Hollywood Palladium show.
I'm gonna be up north for Arcade Fire when the Palladium show comes to town. If you want to go, and don't have a ticket yet, PM me. The ticket was $52 after fees, I'll give it to you for $40.
5/23 - QOTSA - Wiltern > Boris - Echoplex
5/24 - Boris - Echoplex
5/30 - John Talabot - Echoplex (?)
6/02 - Bjork - Palladium
6/08 - The Field - El Rey (?)

I don't think I'd be able to make it. I'm flying back from the east coast that day.
Could have sworn they were adding a show on the 4th. Sighhhh. Looks like I'll miss them just like I did back in 2006 due to traveling. Grrr.
New Los Angeles Belle & Sebastian date!

Looks like there was 2 shows all along. I might just go to this instead of the Palladium cause this is much cooler. Anyone know if they get a full set?
thanks for the info, I want to go to that so badly!

EDIT: got booted....refreshed....kept getting the not on sale screen...then finally got 'em!

anyone know if there booze allowed in for this? is it same rules @ cinespia...?
booze was ok for the bon iver on the lawn last year...so i would assume it's ok this go around too.

I'm loving the new album. My first listen assures me that I will be crazy about this record in a couple weeks. The arrangements are familiar but fresh. There are a few tracks that really made me happy, specifically "I Want The World To Stop" and "I'm Not Living In The Real World".
btw, the hollywood forever show now looks like it's sold out.
ticketweb says "We're sorry, there are no tickets currently available through TicketWeb."
might be a temporary allotment issue, but, frankly i'm surprised tickets were available for as long as they were.

It says you can bring drinks right in the description so since it doesn't specifically say no booze...we can only assume...
Until I read the Facebook page I had no idea that area where do the events is called the Fairbanks lawn.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery is a beautiful landmark of Hollywood’s past, present and future. Founded in 1899, it is one of the oldest standing landmarks in Los Angeles. The final resting place of many of the early founders and artists that defined the city (including Cecil B. DeMille, Douglas Fairbanks, Rudolph Valentino, Jayne Mansfield), it is also becoming a cultural center for the arts with the popular outdoor summer film series, the annual Dia de los Muertos festival and musical performances at Hollywood Forever’s Masonic Lodge.

Blehhh. Parking on site is 10 bucks. The last show I saw there, it was free.
So is there like a little elevated mini stage for this? Has anyone seen anything on the lawn before?
They were wonderful at the palladium. But this show is going to be so much more amazing. Extremely excited for this show!

Didn't attend the bon iver concert, so i don't have firsthand knowledge.
Also, 70% chance of rain tomorrow according to cbs2. hope they have a way of covering the stage with a tent or roof. Can't imagint stuart dancing around, multiple instruments and electrical equipment going down well with rain.

absolutely loved the setting.
sound was great.
not a single drop of rain during the movie or b&s set
a near perfect evening
if only they played 'if she wants ...'
hoping they'll save it for treasure island, but not counting on it

It was an amazing evening!
And I loved how it rained before and after their performance!
The whole night was perfect.
