yeah, without knowing BR that well, i am not sure if they've been listening/watching a lot of FR or the other way around. but, either way...it's a nice enough touch and does not come off as "copying." and, of course, their music is pretty different too.

Good lookin' out! Although they'll most likely be a lot earlier in the day, they're not that big.

Big enough to play two shows at the Fonda and one in Pomona. And the last time they were in LA, they sold out the Wiltern.

Boourns, IIRC, they have played Coachella 3 times already and 2 of those times they didn't have a very recent album out, so it doesn't seem impossible. I have a feeling I wouldn't be very satisfied by a festival set at this point, which would probably be mostly songs from Penny Sparkle and 23.

Pretty anxious for a set list from last night, though... really wish I could have gone, but as it were, I was already in bed before the set would have even started.

two more things to add...."Black Guitar" (off Penny Sparkle) was my favorite new jam live. it's just really beautiful live, esp with the stage production. and, actually i thought all the new stuff was particularly vibrant live.

the other is how they ended the show....with a wall of noise and the stage totally dark. pretty fucking amazing. did they do that at the LA shows?

Their lighting setup for their current tour is Brilliant. They were Amazing when I saw them last Wednesday at the music box!

Didn't say that. Of course it will...has been since I started going and before that. But there's been some developments that will make it harder for me to be able to commit considering current finances and the priority of the pulp reunion. Things can change over the next couple months, of course.

Oh ok got it. I thought the "crushing blows" you were refering to was the line up itself. Pulp is a priority for you, that is understandable.

A show by Blonde Redhead at Bellingham's Wild Buffalo nightclub was canceled Tuesday, Nov. 23 because the band is stranded by poor weather in Seattle, organizers said.

The band was scheduled to perform Tuesday night. There are no plans currently for a rescheduled date.

...I am seriously about to cry. First the Capitol Hill Block Party and now this. And we had tix to the Vancouver show and sold them so we could go to this show instead. I don't even want to text my husband yet. He's still at work and I'll give him another hour of ignorant bliss...Goddammit.

Still haven't seen a set list for the SF show, I am really curious what that 2nd encore was.
