Does Control typically sell out? We wanted to make this our first trip out to Avalon and seeing as presale is at $20 right now, probably just pay at the door.

I'd get presale for this one, and show up before 10 or 11 because after then it's no guaranteed admission even with presale. It usually gets really fucking crowded on popular nights. Aoki sold the place out, if that tells you anything. Wolfgang is getting really, really popular. Either way, I'm in it to win it for this night since I've missed the fucker three times now, I gotta get down at this show. See you there.

No, it goes up in price when they keep selling more tickets. It started at $10, went to $15, $20, and now $25. It will stay there, thats how much theyll charge at the door also.

Nope it gets higher the later you show up too. Grum/Felguk at the door was $35 at midnight.

Yeah, its very dependent on the DJs. Last week was as packed as ive ever seen it, and this should draw similar numbers.

The Avalon books great stuff, but they are awesome at ripping you off and making you feel like a douche for even showing up..

this might save you guys a few bucks but like it says in the post you really, really, should plan on getting there EARLY. before 10 for this guestlist. once it runs out tickets at the door are gonna be running ~$50!

No, my point is, I am not doing this again. I am not showing up to the fucking Avalon 3 hours early to hear a bunch of shitty DJs I couldn't care less about and wait, presumably having to get wasted with the rest of the brofist crowd simply to entertain myself and only to not remember Wolfgang's 90 minute set that should have been 2 hours an hour earlier. Not to sound bitter, they've had some dank shows, but that place blew up too fast and now it's just no fun.

Ok, when I have gone, I showed up an hour before the act I wanted to see went on. It took a good 30 minutes to get in, just hanging out for 30 mins before who you wanna get down to isnt the worst thing in the world. And I am sure you just dont want to think your evening is going to begin at like 11pm or so. you seem to forget, THIS IS L.A. EVERYONE SHOWS UP LATE. Midnight is prime time...
